    Back 4 Blood - Won't Install / Update Xbox Series X


    Hi there, I have a physical copy of Back 4 Blood, installs as expected but won't launch on my Xbox Series X. It keeps saying "Update Needed" - "You need this update, but we can't get it at the moment. Try again in a while. (0x8b050033).

    I've tried on another xbox one console and it immediately says that a 17.8GB update is available so I suspect it will work fine on that device.

    I've tried doing a power cycle on the Series X with no luck, have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times now with no joy. Been like this for 2 days now and still can't get it to work. Please help.

    I've spotted your question and since it happened to me recently, I'd like to share you some step that helped me when I had this problem.

    Using your mobile phone, kindly install Xbox App. Once you have it, search for the game and push the installation from there. You will notice that a bigger file size will install and it should be smooth sailing from there.

    I've encountered the same error and what I did is that I installed the Xbox app on my phone and search for the game there. You should see an option to push the installation to your console. You might want to try this.
