Back 4 Blood Known Issues

Greetings Gamers!

With the launch of Back 4 Blood happening today. We wanted to address several issues identified by the community and provide possible solutions to help gamers have the best experience possible. Please find below several issues reported about this game and possible work arounds to get back in and enjoy some zombie slaying action.



We are also working with our partners over at Turtle Rock and looking at collecting information on all known issues. Feel free to check their bug reporting site for Back 4 Blood to see all bugs currently reported and being worked on. Back 4 Blood

• Not able to install the game
  
  • Some players have reported that they have not been able to install the game or that it crashes during the installation process. We are investigating the root cause of this issue and will post further details when more info is available.
    
  • Effected users should go Turtle Rock support for Back 4 Blood Bug Reporting (Back 4 Blood (wbgames.com)) and Report a Bug in the upper right-hand side.
    
  • It is also possible that the Steam beta version is interfering when you attempt to download the Game Pass version. Please uninstall the beta from steam and this should clear it up.
    
    
• Error 0x80073CF3 appears when attempting to install the game on a Windows 10 device
  
  • Several steps can be taken to over come this issue. First, you can reference the following support article for initial steps. Error 0x80073CF3 occurs when you try to install a game on Xbox One or a Windows 10 device | Xbox Support
    
  • The second steps are related to a Teredo access issue. If you are using a static IP, you may need to refresh to a new IP (static or dynamic). Make sure to also reset you clock/date settings to your appropriate region.
    
  • Once these steps are done, you need to log out of the Xbox app and then log back in.

• Game Crashes at EZ Anti Cheat check
  
  • If you are running a third-party anti-virus program, you need to allow EZ Anti Cheat to run and bypass your software or alternatively you can disable your anti-virus program.
    
  • You can also attempt to right click the game application icon and run it as an admin. This gives the game administrator rights allowing it to bypass most restrictions.
    

• I am being asked to Repurchase the game
  
  • Some people have been asked to repurchase the game. Please ensure that initial purchase did not go through by checking your Order history under your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com
