Awful sluggishness of Xbox UI and/or OS

Is anyone anyone else really REALLY disappointed with how much of a disgrace the UI is? It's so horribly sluggish and slow, I turn to my 360 or my Wii U for any app/browser stuff I might use. I literally turn to a Nintendo console over an MS one for media/entertainment
outside of games.

When it was first released it was a case of, okay, it's new, I would imagine someone at some point prior to release turned one of these on and used it for more than 10 minutes and as such knows how infuriatingly slow they can be, and as such, it will be fixed.

It has, however, not been fixed. God forbid I should check a chat request or message during a game.

It's not a gargantuan deal for me because it doesn't stop me playing games and thus far the games are alright. But given I bought the thing for more than games, because that's how it was advertised, I was kinda expecting it would be able to do the things advertised
without dying during the process.

Anyway, I guess, what I want to know is, will it be fixed? I won't ask if I'm the only one, because... well... I'm not, clearly.

Xbox One Slim 500 gig and 1 TB Models coming Aug 23

For the OS/UI and backwards compatibility potentially. For current gen games, not a chance. This is their opportunity to address the sluggish OS/UI performance. I hope they took it.

 

Real False Advertising (XB1)

UI sluggishness is something everybody suffers from, whether one has a Kinect or not. Voice commands are indeed useful and help you navigate through the dashboard faster but its use besides that is limited.

 

I assume the problem we face is that it works fine in countries like USA, England and South Korea so therefore it MUST work everywhere else. I understand the pain, and that's why I stick to cable internet, to at least give my console the best opportunity
to perform at its intended state. What internet do you have?
