I see this as a rather interesting and very artistic take on the video game industry, however, as other users have pointed out... something like that is less impossible and more so not plausible. Companies aren't going to go into business with their rivals,
especially in the video game industry, no matter how much money is on the table. There's an idea of brand integrity companies uphold as well as their integrity on stock markets around the world. These things keep products, ideas, and consumer bases protected
and happy. Things that go into console design are about uniqueness for a brand, a super console would just tear away everything related to uniqueness if you think about it in that regard. Online though, like on YouTube, you can find plenty of fan made 'super
consoles.' Some of them are pretty good.

No they won't team up to make a console together, not anytime soon anyway. Interestingly you may not know this but Sony already has a deal with Microsoft to use its servers for game streaming.

This may sound strange, but actually these kinds of 'gentlemen's agreements' are quite common in the I.T industry. Did you know Netfix runs off servers provided by Amazon? It's true.

Providing a potential rivals part of your server infrastructure (for profit, obviously) and making games from a totally different console are two entirely different things. It's extremely complicated with licenses and hardware differences to contend with.

I'm sorry but if you want to play Mario games from the Wii, you're going to need a Wii console.

There's emulation on PCs of course, but you'll likely never see emulators on consoles.
