AWESOME NFL app update on Xbox One coming

I can't believe everyone hates DirecTV so much ... I just called to renew my NFL Sunday Ticket and I get the MAX package for free for being "part of the program for 5 years straight and having a good account status throughout". Sounds good to me

 

Lord apparently you have failed to realize that a major contingency of the deal between AT&T and DirecTV going through is DirecTV's ability to retain it's exclusive deal with the NFL. So no exclusive rights to the NFL then no deal between the two. Don't
believe me then look it up. This was known when news of the deal first came out.

Can you watch the RedZone channel through your Xbox One NFL App as long as you log into your say Comcast account (inside the app) and subscribe to that Red Zone channel??

 

I would love to see ea sports lose their hold on that horrible monopoly on the NFL rights/license to make a football game. I want 2K football back!!!

No you can't as Comcast isn't listed as one of the providers in the NFL app. 2 bit Mom and Pop cable operations all over the country are though. Come on, MS and Comcast, get a deal done.

 

Guys the only way you can watch channels on the NFL app is if you have purchased the Sunday NFL Ticket Package through DirecTV.

SpiiT RhymeS I don't think that is correct. If you are one of the 215 providers listed you can watch the NFL and Redzone channels through the NFL app once you sign in. Powerhouse cable systems such as Arvig, Chippewa Valley Cable, BYU Optinet and Mid Hudson
Cable all have access, just no Comcast or Time-Warner. Why would all the providers be listed if no one can but DirecTV subscribers can watch?

 

If you want to have access to every NFL game through the app then that requires that you have NFL Sunday Ticket through DirecTV. Otherwise you will not be able to watch all of them. Pretty sure that is what Spiit meant.

 

Yeah you are probably right, just me thinking too much or not enough, lol.

I'm just irritated that they tout stuff like this and then exclude a large part of the population (30+ million cable subscribers) by failing to reach some agreement in the 6 months since the season ended. Stupid on the NFL, Comcast and MS's part.

 

DirecTV will keep hold of the NFL if they want their deal with AT&T to go through because that is a big stipulation of the deal.

 

Where is the Yahoo support? New app today is just CBS and NFL, with ESPN being in its own app.
