Avoided Player

    Avoided Player


    I have avoided a certain player while playing Call of Duty Ghosts. However the issues is I seem to be getting put into almost every lobby I join while playing Team Deathmatch with the player. How can I still be I lobbies with him if I have avoided him?
    Even if I back out and search for a new lobby it will put me in with the same player time after time again. This is starting to make me not even want to turn on my Xbox.

    67% avoided you, details blank?

    Depends on the reason someone avoided you.If they avoided you for "player skill" then it wont show that as a reason.

    i received a bad rep to my profile in i think 2010 since then i stopped using my headset and dont send or receive messages xbox live sent me here to try and solve my issue , i would like to know to change my rep since what happened wasnt called for by the

    I disagree.. I play world of tanks alot.I am 73 percent avoided and it matches me with all the avoided players that don't know or understand how to play in a battle.

    Avoided Player

    Couple things ....

    1.) if you use the avoid button excessively it stops working.

    2.) maybe the guy is following you. Even if you avoid him, if he has a message from you, or manages to keep you on his recent played list he can join you.

    3.) Not sure if it is the case or not, but I would suspect that if the game cant find a suitable lobby for you it may ignore the avoid just to put you in a lobby.

    Block communications with the player too. It sounds like he's just following you around trying to annoy you.. or some creepy stalker. Just block him doe and if they've been breaking the rules or sending you nasty messages, make sure to file a complaint too.
    +1 for not giving their gamertag either. A lot of people tend to do that when they post about some hacker or whatever.

    He probably lives in or near your region and thats why you get matched with him. Maybe you live in a remote area? Or maybe you just connect well with him? Just mute him? Why does it matter if you play against him?

    All of the above - Just block and move on - If you get him/her mute and enjoy killing them Avoided Player :)

    sadly there is no killing him. ive watched him play numerous games all of which he goes with 34 kills and 4 deaths every game. however I appreciate the advice

    This happens all the time in CoD matchmaking. Either back out and wait a few minutes so you know that lobby is filled, or change your playlist for a quick round of something else. This will solve your problem to some extent. You still may match up with
    him again, but it is much less likely the more people that are online at the time.

    I think for ranked matches it wouldn't be fair for the "avoided players" function to work, because people could just avoid all the players that are better than them.

    I avoid people who make the connection unplayable for me, and while I might find them again, particularly if you both keep searching immediately and given H3's small population, it feels like it does have an effect.

    It's hardly important, yeah, but not completely pointless. If people had more assurance that avoiding/preferring people was effective, it would be a bit more useful, too.

    [/quote]I think the key to playing with good players would be combining the
    + rep and - rep feature. That way you play with people you like, but don't nessisarily want to friend (competent players, people who don't camp weapon/vehicle spawns) and you get less of a chnace of playing
    with BKs (AFKers, non-objective players in objective games) because it's trying to match you up with your
    + rep players as well as avoiding the
    - rep players. Ah! Proportions!
