"Avoid Me" Reputation, can't get into ANY games

    Hello,

So I've been bad. I've betrayed (teamkilled) other players enough in Halo: MCC that my reputation has been reduced to "Avoid Me". Now I can't get into ANY multiplayer game, in any title. While I definitely deserved some form of punishment, I don't necessarily
agree with this method as it appears that there aren't enough players with the same "Avoid Me" status to be able to match with in any game on Xbox One. The enforcement page says that the best way to make my rep go up is play multiplayer games without any negative
feedback - but how do I do that if I cannot get into a game at all?

I realize I've *** up, but I'd like the chance to be able to repair my reputation and it seems impossible to do at this point. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    :)

Does xbox live reputation slowly rise regardless if you play online

Does your reputation score on xbox one slowly rise even if you don't play online For example- Someone gets to "Avoid me" reputation, ragardless if they play online (even though they can't) or not will there reputation slowly rise thorugh "needs improvement"
and to "good player"? Thanks! Wondering jow this all works

Hi there, the following link might be of some interest to you:
    forums.xbox.com/.../1841672.aspx

Also I know another way to improve your reputation is to have trouble free multiplayer gaming, which is nearly impossible when you can't find a match, but maybe if you match made with a group of friends you will be able to find games.

Thank you for your reply, DigitalAssassin. I will try to post specifically in the Enforcement forum link you provided, though in that specific case it looks like those users were unjustly taking hits to their reputation when in my case it was deserved for
    unsporting behaviour.

And again, I the enforcement page on xbox.com does say that the best way to repair your rep is to not receive any negative feedback while playing multiplayer games, unfortunately I can't get into a multiplayer match in ANY game, so it's pretty much impossible.
I've tried playing with a couple of friends but unfortunately my account prevents us from finding matches.

Hi. I do understand how important this is for you. If I'm on your shoes I'll fee frustrated as well.

I know my suggestion may be hard but I believe its worth it.

Since you cannot find match easily due to the reputation status, here's my idea:

As you checked the forum link given earlier, you can see people with same issues "Avoid me" reputation. Since those people and you have same situation, there's likely a chance that you can connect to them in a party/ gameplay as match are determined as well
on the reputation of the profile.

Have a group conversation and agreement to provide positive feedbacks to each other, that will regain good reputation on the account.

This will not only help you but your colleagues as well and learn each other's lessons.

We truly wish that you can now go back to your gaming activities

Let my actions do the talking

@SayoMimi - I agree with this, however when it comes to giving positive feedback on others, it can be a bit of a pain. There doesn't actually seem to be a way to give people 'Good rep' like on the 360, only to give them bad rep. Essentially I think this
is why the 'Avoid me' system is flawed.

"Avoid Me" Reputation, can't get into ANY games

Hi, SayoMimi, thank you for taking the time to respond. As medium bloke said, there is no way to leave positive feedback on other players in Xbox One (and from what I understand, Xbox One and Xbox 360 rep are separate).

So, again, it appears the only way to repair the bad rep is to play enough multiplayer games (which, theoretically I should at least be matching with other players that have the same "Avoid Me" status) without being avoided and/or left any negative feedback.
And therein lies the problem. I cannot get matched with anyone, so it is a Catch-22. I have effectively been banned from matchmaking in ANY Xbox One game at this point for unsporting conduct. And while I admit I have done wrong, I would at least like the chance
to bring my account back in good standing. The current system seems to not allow me to do that, and my account could be stuck in this limbo indefinitely.

Here to provide an update for those experiencing this problem (and it is a problem, because the system is deeply flawed) without any sort of answer and/or light at the end of the tunnel.

I am happy to report that as of this morning, my reputation has improved to "needs work" and is orange. I also received a message from Xbox Live stating that my reputation had improved, and that I would no longer be 'matched' with low reputation players.
Finally. I am once again able to enter matchmaking in Xbox One games.

So let's back up and I'll share my experience during almost two months, so you can know what to expect, in case Microsoft decides to send you to your room.

    - During the first month, I tried multiple times to no avail to get into matchmaking mainly in Halo: MCC and GTA V. Could not get a match at all. Eventually I gave up. The system is deeply flawed if the point is to put all the troublemakers together and
the troublemakers can't get a match. Again, I get that I did wrong, but I wasn't allowed to regain the system's trust. It was, effectively, a matchmaking ban.

    - A few weeks back, I returned to the Xbox Enforcement web page to see if anything changed. Lo and behold, it showed my reputation as good with the green color! Sadly, as soon as I fired up my Xbox, my reputation updated to its actual status as "avoid me"
with the red color. I did try matchmaking again, to no avail. This would happen a few more times, with varying results - sometimes showing good status with green color in my profile on the Xbox, and still not able to get a match, and the status not updating!
    - but alas, it was not until today that I received the message from Xbox Live that I was allowed out of my room and back into matchmaking on Xbox One.

    - I was able to use several old "Silver" accounts in the meantime to enjoy matchmaking with my friends. You can do this on Xbox one as long as there is one "Gold" account on your console that has it set to "my home xbox" or whatever. While this is not optimal
in a game like GTA V or anything that has a persistent character/progression (i.e., something you've put a lot of time and effort into), it works just fine as a workaround in something like Halo: MCC where there is really no real progression to speak of (nameplates
    and the like don't count).

    - It's worth noting that you if you look at your number of reports on the Xbox Enforcement web page, it states that those are the amount of reports you have received in a 6 month period. As time has passed, some of my reports dropped off, and this should
be good news to anyone looking for something better than the vague canned garbage the Enforcement Team will tell you. This means that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and that as time passes and those reports drop off, you get closer to having your
matchmaking ban lifted. Of course, if you miraculously can get matches, or have time to arrange custom games with fellow ne'er do wells, your ban will theoretically be lifted sooner as you play more multiplayer without getting negative feedback.

    - I do not know the validity of this, but I have seen it suggested (around the time that the new feedback system was introduced) that renewing your Xbox Live Gold Account, purchasing Games/DLC/etc., and making new friends on Xbox Live can also help your
reputation. I do not know if any of that helps for sure, as the only thing I did during my matchmaking ban was buy 1 game and maybe accept a friend request or two, but it may help. That may seem a bit bizarre - paying money to beat the system - but if you
think about it, it makes sense. Xbox wants you to keep paying that renewal fee, keep buying games, and they are much more likely to lift your matchmaking ban if you are a paying customer than if you just have a trial one-month account, never buy anything and
never make a friend (other customers). So, just food for thought. Couldn't tell you if it actually helps.

So that was my experience. Again, I deserved my ban for being a teamkiller and I believe I've learned my lesson. What I did not deserve was the Catch-22 situation I was put in, with no real way of earning a second chance. I'm extremely happy that I can enter
matchmaking again, and hope that this post will help some of you googling this problem.

Whenever a users account gets to avoid me rep it is impossible to get it back up because it is impossible to find a matchmaking game when it is at avoid me rep.If you dont believe me try it out yourself you cant find a game when your rep hits avoid me. So
its stuck like that permanently this is a serious FLAW in the xbox ones reputation system and needs to be fixed asap. I will be calling and speaking to a supervisor until this gets reported and fixed its obviously a flaw. I see the enforcement team telling
people to play matchmaking to get it back up buts thats not possible because you cant find a game when your reps at avoid me status

@medium - that's all well and good but all Xbox Support is going to do for them is copy and paste the information from the Enforcement page and not provide any concrete answers.

  13. "Avoid Me" Reputation, can't get into ANY games

I know this is an old post but it is still oneed of the top search returns on Google. The solution that I have found is in a game called World of Tanks. For whatever reason even with bad rep you can still be matched with up to 30 people at a time. I'm going
through players like crazy. I have heard of someone that has spend 4 hours grinding this games matchmaking and got his rep back up. It seems like the easiest way so far.

The only way to get out of the "avoid me region" is to play games online without being reported.

So play some other games and your reply will rise again.

Can't see player reputation on app, console, or website

It was removed from the console a while ago & it's now been removed from xbox.com as well.

Rep will only show up now if it falls into the "needs work" or "avoid me" levels
Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question a few months ago. Since then, I have continued to try to see if I could see the reputation of people, specifically people who have reputation in the "Needs Work" or "Avoid Me" range. I feel like
I can't see any player's reputation, even in the cases where they have red reputation. I can't even see my reputation; I have to go to enforcement.xbox.com to see it. I even just looked up a player who, at the time I am writing this, confirmed they have
"Avoid Me" reputation, and I can't see their rep. I do appreciate that you took the time to reply, but it seems that your answer did not hold true for my case. Do you have any thoughts as to why this could be?
  18. Malacath Win User

Why is the reputation message "avoid me" even a thing?

I thought those with avoid me reputations were only supposed to be put in games with others of that reputation.

If that's not the case then the reputation system might as well be discontinued

Don't fall to the ''avoid me'' reputation since you cannot get out of that. Don't send messages or rage or quit out of matches. I have now a ''avoid me'' reputation for 1 month and theres no way to bring it back up. Goodluck with that :)
