"avoid me" help me please

To whom this may concern,

Note: This is a letter that i wrote to the enforcement team about a week ago and have had 0 luck with getting any sort of help and it's only gotten worse since. i'm desperate at this point and just want someone to help me and i don't know where to turn.
i have been a positive member of the community for almost 10 years and after a small handful of reports my reputation dropped from green to red instantly.

Just as title says, i recently found out that my account was instantly brought down from the "good" status to the "avoid me" status without warning or cause. My name is and i have been on xbox since before there was xbox live and
my account is currently 9 years old, so some would consider me a dedicated gamer. Over the near decade my reputation of my account have been nothing short of excellent and this is the first time i'm experiencing such a thing as having bad reputation. Earlier
today a friend of mine logged on and texted me a picture showing the "avoid me" status and asked me what had happened. I was shocked to get this message and confused as to how it had happened. I thought to myself that to fix this all need to do some community
service in destiny by "sherpa"ing people through some hard endgame activities. In destiny to be a "sherpa" means to help lead people through some hard missions even though there is no reward in it for you. This is something that i have done in the past and
i thought that doing this would fix my account, apparently i'm wrong. The reputation system i had been thinking of where you can mark helpful players by "preferring" them has been thrown in the trash to make way for this new reputation system that is filled
with flaws. Sure the old system wasn't perfect, but at least with it people weren't having privileges wrongfully revoked.



I call the new reputation system broken because other players can only have a negative influence on your account. If i played with the most helpful and kind player in the world there is no way i can submit player feedback that reflects how awesome
of a player he is. the only impact other players can have on your account is to bring it down. If that's not bad enough, we have a catch 22 styled solution that moves at the pace of a snail. After doing much research i found that the only way to properly restore
your reputation to it's rightful status is to play a set amount of games with other members of xbox live without getting reported. This would be easily doable if my matchmaking capabilities weren't severely restricted due to the "avoid me" status placed onto
my account. I have only been able to load into 2 games of destiny in the past 3 hours, which should usually result in about 15+ games. So since i'm unable to load into any games them i'm unable to fix my status which restricts my matchmaking which hinders
my ability to fix my status. This leaves me stuck in a spiraling black hole of sadness. After talking to multiple members of the community who have also claimed to have their accounts wrongfully set to "avoid" they told me that the only way to get normal matchmaking
is to play games with unique servers such as battlefield hardline. So now i need to pay $60 to get battlefield to be able to "quickly" fix my account to use all the features and play all the other games i have spent much more time money on.



With this happening to me i'm only left to guess why. The only think i can think of is that this player who was harassing me earlier today must have had his friends report me which must have cause a red flag in the system that changed my status
so quickly. I was playing the onlyine player versus player in destiny of a team 6 versus 6 when i set my controller down for a second to text my girlfriend when this player with the gamertag of "Great Tiny Tim" killed me then proceeded to harass me for the
rest of the game. After leaving the game this player continued to harass me by sending me hatefully messages followed by disturbing voice messages filled with sexual content. I reported this player for all of his messages, but all in all i felt pretty helpless
to the matter. Recently something similar happened to me where i ended up getting muted for finishing a fight that another player started, so i have learned my lesson to keep quiet and just report people, which i did in this case. Within a couple of hours
of this event my profile went straight from the highest reputation status to the lowest reputation status without any warning. Other than this the only other thing i can think of that cause this sudden status change is that people may be blocking me in destiny
for constantly getting MVP. In about 98% of the player versus player games i play i have the top score that is even higher than any of my teammates. Within the destiny community it is common practice to "block" skilled players because that decreases the
likelihood that they will be paired up with you in the future and will decrease your chances of loosing in game modes such as trials of osiris where winning is so crucial. In all of the responses to players with similar problems you tell us not to use modified
software / hardware, not to use in game exploits, and basically not to be a troll. I can tell you with 100% certainty i have never cheated on xbox one or used an in game exploit, i am an honorable warrior in the battlefield of destiny.

The only other possible reason for this is that there is a glitch in your system that is causing peoples reputation to drop abnormally fast. The reason why i come to this solution is because when browsing for a way to fix the problem i ended up
on the xbox sub reddit where i found a post by an admin talking about a massive influx of players being stuck in the "avoid me" status for reason. Seeing as there is a massive influx this leads me to believe that there is a problem in the way that your program
recognizes the reports on players rather than everyone on xbox live suddenly deciding to be meaner to each other that would result in the influx.



Well after spending over an hour on writing this email we finally reach the conclusion. Here i have a couple of questions to ask. How long is my account going to be wrongfully set to the "avoid me" status? Is there anything i can do to make this
time shorter so i can go back to playing the games and using the services i paid for? Is there anything i can do, other than posting on here, that can instantly fix my status to reflect the all around positive player that i am?

I've been dropped from good(green) rep-avoid me(bad) on call of duty advanced warfare. I've been playin Black Ops 3 beta for a couple days and barely AW and went from good-bad in that time, is that because of people reporting me because i beat them????????

Unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done from this support forum. You'll have to refer to your
Enforcement page for any issues. If you have any questions regarding the Xbox One reputation system or how to improve your reputation, I recommend checking out the Xbox
One Reputation System page. In order for you to check how many reports you have received in the last 6 months, go ahead and check out our Reputation History page while signed in.
There is a Case Review process on the Enforcement page, but if you don't have a Case Review option then your only other choice is posting in the Xbox One Enforcement forum . This is the only other way to reach the enforcement team about your reputation. I
know this isn't exactly the answer you were looking for.

 

Over nearly the past week i have done everything in my power to try to contact the enforcement team and have gotten no responses from anyone.

 

Microsoft loves to put players in a catch 22. Customer Support tells players to talk to Enforcement Team about reputation, but they either ignore us or respond with the same automated copy/paste message offering zero help. So we come back to customer support
to talk to an actual human being and thus we keep going around the circle.

The other catch 22 is Enforcement's copy/paste message telling us to complete online matchmaking games to come out of "Avoid Me" reputation, but we aren't able to find any games BECAUSE of "Avoid Me" reputation.

Gotta love how Microsoft does things.

 

Staff is aware of the issues with reputation and is looking into thing
