Avatars on your dashboard/home screen

Ever since I bought my xbox one it's like my avatar doesn't exist anymore. I don't even see it unless I'm editing it! I was wondering if u guys were planning on integrating avatars as well as friendslist avatars to the xbox one home screen similar to the
xbox 360 dashboard? One of my favourite things about xbox that I liked more than play station was that u had ur own cartoon version of urself on ur dashboard to show others ur unique personality.

So, where did you see your 3D avatar in the dashboard and which exact screen you have seen it? And I would like to reproduce it and see if that is 3D avatar in dashboard or not.

I miss having the avatars on the Xbox One - like the mottos and bios, it helped give your profile an infinitely customizable personality. In addition, it gave you even more incentive to do certain things because of the avatar rewards you could earn. I also
liked how some games incorporated your avatars directly into them, which further enhanced those games as well.

 

I agree GG, I miss having Mottos, Bios and Location. They made fun reading in between MP rounds. These need to come back. Avatars are still there just not as prominent. Admittedly, as grown man. I did enjoy seeing friends avatars change and lined up
with a cool Gears Of War or Halo theme.

I miss em toi theyre just hiding in a wundows 8 app dashboard avatar app ur avatar on x1 has a higher resolution fact x1 doesnt have ALL the xbox live features on x360.

 

I miss themes but not the avatar at all.

 

I really hope that themes and Custom Backgrounds return. I had some fun making my own backgrounds with Gimp.

 

They probably will return as microsoft is getting a tonne of feedback on it. Us younger peps dont want to look at a boring black background. In windows 8.1 and x360 u can change de background.

 

It's not just a youth thing. I'm 37 and I want custom backgrounds.

 

I miss the US Army/Halo theme I had on my 360. I have my avatar from my 360 as my gamerpic on my X1. Sometimes it even shows up here on this site; but not much.

 

Themes need to make a return. I would love for "retro" 360 themes to make a comeback. Like Halo series, Gears of War, Halo Wars, and Fable as well as others on the XB1
