Avatars App Issue

So I recently changed my gamertag, and also wanted to change up the look of my avatar as well. However, before I even changed my gamertag I had issues with Avatars app on the Xbox One. Every time I go to access it I receive the 0x854f0000 error code, it
tells me to restart the app and I have done so a countless number of times. Any help would be appreciated!

There are different animations and items.

Avatars – You can now download and launch the Avatars app from within the Xbox app. After the app is installed, select Customize > Customize your avatar to launch the Avatars app and edit, dress up, and buy new items for your avatar.

Can you guys add back are Avatars on the xbox app then we players can customized are Avatars again

 

I'm getting the same error. I didn't change my gamertag, but yeah, everytime I launch I get error 0x854f0000

I understand this post is a little old but I actually just had this resolved for me. My issue though it might be different from your own was an avatar item related issue. Was due to having it equipped that caused the error for me. The Aegis Armor anyways.
Try going to the avatar store through the website changing your avatar to new things restart your system and hopefully you too will be able to access it.

Thanks @Shane4787 ! Your advice worked for me! I couldn't even customize my avatar the very first time I used my Xbox One and that was in March! Thanks for the awesome advice!
