Avatar won't update

    Avatar won't update


    Alright so I deleted my avatar to try and make a new one, it makes you choose one as a starting point we all know that much. Soon as I go to change the features or clothes it prompts me to update but the update never moves an inch. It isn't a speed issue
    I have no other problems and never have. I stream video fine and play multiplayer games fine. I have 50+meg internet with nothing else hooked up and I let it run while I slept and nothing. Tried clearing system cache and deleting the avatar editor file and
    restarting the Xbox and still nothing. The green download bar won't move an inch.

    Hey there NHL! What is your new avatar pic supposed to be? Right now I see your avatar in Hockey gear on a blue background. These things take time to populate to all of Xbox LIVE, so keep that in mind. Let us know, thanks!

    The link you provided takes me to a section that deals with diagnosing issues on the Xbox one. I'm doing this on an Xbox 360 cause as far as I can tell there is no way to delete your avatar and create a new one on the Xbox one. This troubleshooter doesn't
    really apply to me as I have plenty of hard drive space, great internet speeds as previously stated. Also noteworthy that I've tried it on 3 of my Xbox 360 systems so it's safe to say it's not the system. This has to be an Xbox live issue.

    it just puts me at the "updating avatar clothes and accessories " screen with the associated animation of the clothes moving and the cat in the skateboard but the download bar below never moves.

    Hey EVOL ROAMS! Apologies for the incorrect support page! Have you tried any other troubleshooting steps so far? I would suggest starting by

    removing your profile and re-adding it    , as well as
    clearing the cache     to see if that helps get the avatar store working again for you. Post back and let us know how it goes!

    as I've already stated, I tried clearing the cache and yes I've also tried deleting the profile on multiple systems and it does nothing. I contacted an online support agent and they said "Xbox is currently going through maintenance and many services are
    down but as soon as it's all back up your issues should be over" service request number is: 1419904659. I saw the notice for it on Xbox live about the service issue so I've been patient but the service issue has been over for quite awhile and my avatar is
    still broken.
