    Avatar Update?


    Hello everyone. I was getting really excited when i heard about the new avatar update from e3 of 2017. However here we are in May of 2018 and we, the players, have not been told anything on this topics status. We have seen a leaked video on YouTube, yet
    no word has come from Microsoft on updates. I know it's not a huge game changing feature on the xbox, but at least give us some information on how the project is coming. Lack of communication is really killing my hype for this updated feature.

    As for backgrounds, they're not on the Xbox Store. You can upload your own picture via USB, or set an achievement art as one.

    this is correct they are being added to the xbox app in windows 10 and as far as I heard it will be in the xbox in some fashion with the redesign they also opened the avatar stuff up for L: id@xbox with the new update so some avatar games should be coming out

    I agree! I was extremely excited for the new avatars! My avatar on my 360 was one of my favorite things about Xbox! I was kind of bummed they weren’t featured as much on the One and then bam Avatar 2.0 was announced to release like 6 months ago!!!

    At this point I’m getting frustrated!

    The preview people can use it but only if you are invited to the Alpha level!

    They said The Beta level would get it also in the following weeks of Alpha getting it.

    Which was a month ago!

    Come on Xbox get your act together!

    Sometimes features take a little bit longer especially if they encountered any issues in the initial Alpha release. I'm sure they won't be far behind to the rest of the insider program. Keep checking reddit.com/r/xboxinsiders to
    stay up to date and leave feedback there.

    Avatar Awards Error?

    You have to connect to Xbox Live and update your avatar awards. Just select 'Avatar Awards' in the avatar menu, and it should update your stuff.

    Our program uses Xbox 360 avatar information. Unfortunately, this means that in order to update your avatar on our webpage, you will have to update your avatar using a Xbox 360 console. While we are looking at updating to using Xbox One information, at the
    current time we only use the 360 Avatars. Apologies for the confusion.

    There has been some issues I've seen with the gamer pics of avatars updating correctly. If somebody changes their pic to something other than their avatar it seems to update instantly on the console and Xbox.com. Overall just give your avatar pic time to
    update since it seems to take longer than usual.
