Discus and support Avatar store thinks it's a website? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I'm trying to purchase free items from the Xbox avatar store, but as soon as I purchase, it comes up with an error saying "this purchase cannot be made...     Avatar store thinks it's a website?


    I'm trying to purchase free items from the Xbox avatar store, but as soon as I purchase, it comes up with an error saying "this purchase cannot be made from the Xbox website. Please try again on your Xbox." I've tried it repeatedly, but it refuses to work.
    Help?

    "Sorry, we can't connect to the Xbox Avatar Store. Please try again later."

    The computer avatar store works perfectly fine. It's on the Xbox 360 itself that is having problems with the avatar store

    Avatar Store on Xbox 360 purchases have been disabled.

    So it is a sad day for avatar users as no more avatar gears can be purchased in the Avatar Store. It seems that when you open the menu's category, it keeps loading all items and they never complete. In the end, it's safe to say that Avatar Store is closing
    and all purchases have been disabled as part of the marketplace shutdown. Right?

    Followed those exact steps. I think maybe because I bought the costume on the Xbox Website maybe? I have never had trouble with other avatars before. And all those other costumes I bought directly from the Avatar Store on the Xbox 360.

    Is there an error message when you attempt to purchase a certain avatar item? What does it exactly say?

    You should be able to buy avatar items on both this website and the Xbox avatar store.

    Avatars are stored server-side or you wouldn't be able to edit them via the website or smartphone apps. If DLC for an avatar is missing on a console, substitution occurs.

    Also what I was thinking is that they should bring back the avatar store because the gamer pics on the Xbox One are huge so avatar props would be really cool to have.

    Avatar Store on Xbox 360 purchases have been disabled.

    Decided to go to the xbox.com avatar store to see what's going on, and I just bought the free "Snack Bites" prop. Seems to work fine on the website still.
