ran into a snag. it asked for the cards' expiration date. do i have to enter this? all i see on the card is 5/18. probably the date i received the card. not sure. i wonder if i'll run into any other 'snags'. btw, i won't have to pay any fees of any kind,
will i? it's a lot nonsense to go through to get free/paid avatar props.

 

5/18 should be your expiration date

In some cases they will send a small charge ($1) to vwrify the payment methid, but it gets refunded after a couple of days. Other than that there would be no other fees.

 

not sure how i'd pay for any charge. i can only pay for things with a money order. so you're saying i should enter 5/18/2016 as the exp. date? i don't how it could be the exp. date. any idea how long all of this'll take me to complete?

It just depends on how long it takes you to fill out the information.

If you can only pay for things with a money order, then what would your card be for?

 

Really it should only take about 5 minutes to fill out the information. All it should ask for is your billing information (address) and your card number/expiration date.

 

ok, i found out 5/18 is the exp. date. may of 2018. do i need a credit card for the ($1.00, is it?) charge? i'm hoping to get this completed tonight. btw, when my atm card expires and i get a new one will i have to go through all of this again , or what?

 

one thing: when it asks for the exp. date what do i put for the date? i only know the month & year.

 

If it does send a $1.00 charge it will go through your ATM card since that is the payment method you would have file. It may or may not need to do that, but like I said, if it does it would refund the charge after a couple of days

When you get a new card you would just need to update the card info.

 

i'm upset. i put in the 16 digit card #, no spaces. i tried the 3 digit verification # on the back and 4 digit on the front . i've no idea what i'm doing wrong. i really hate calling xbox support.

 

If it's not working, your card may not work as a valid payment method. Support would be the best ones to talk to since they would actually have access to your account.

 

if it's not working that's it as it's the only card i can use . i just wish i didn't have to call support or chat via typing. guess i have to call. i appreciate your help. i hope i get this sorted out. it's very aggravating.

 

i was going to try getting another atm card. maybe atm cards don't work. it's the only thing i can use. how are props purchased? with xbox gift cards, aren't they? if not, are they bought with, in my case, an atm card? how is that done? do i need money in
my credit union acct. to get props? i just want to get free, and paid, props. to me it seems so complicated to do so. btw, smwutches, are you a forum mod. or just a forum member, like me? i see you can have a bank acct. as a payment option. is that similar
to a credit union acct., which i have? from what i've seen a bank acct. is more complex. router number, etc. if i knew what info. i needed for the bank acct. option maybe i could get it all from my local credit union. not sure if i have a savings acct., checking,
or both. not sure that that matters. i have $5.00 in it to keep it open. not sure if i have any more than that in it.

 

As I stated before, you can use currency from an Xbox gift card to purchase avatar items only if you're purchasing them from a 360 console. If you're making the purchase on a One or the website, you need either a credit card or Paypal on file as a valid
payment option.

If the system won't accept your ATM card, then it can't be used as a valid payment option. If it does, then yes, you would need money in your account in order to purchase paid for items.

I'm not sure how bank accounts can be used or if they can be used to purchase avatar items. That may not be a valid payment option for avatar items.

These are community forums so most of us here, including myself, are regular gamers like yourself.

 

well , thanks for the help. honestly, i don't know where to go from here. this all seems so confusing. i wonder if i'd get anywhere calling xbox support. this has got me very emotional though i know it shouldn't. i hate to just give up. i don't know what
else to say.

 

1st off, i'm not sure how to edit my posts. if i go to the xbox avatar store on my computer can i get free/paid props without needing a credit card or other payment option? there's something about emailing a link to myself, or whatever. how do i get the
prop onto my xbox one? any idea how this works? i just had a thought. is this for those with an xbox 360? i may call xbox support today. are they open 24/7?
