Avatar store causing freeze which broke 2 hard drives

Hi,

Sorry I couldn't subject it better but thats basically whats happened. The other week my pal and I were playing Arkham Origins and unlocked an avatar award. We went to the store and saw that we unlocked the Deathstroke avatar clothing. Looked great and then
saved an exited from the store. When doing so the console froze but didn't think anything of it so I restarted the console... and thats when the problems began.

When it played the Xbox logo animation on startup that was fine, but when it got to the multiple profiles screens to choose which to login in, thats when it froze again, and again, and again for another 20 attempts. Looked online but couldn't find anyone
else with this issue. So we took the hard drive out and the console worked fine which indicated it was just a hard drive problem.

I purchased a new one from Amazon and when it arrived it was back to great gaming (after so much installing all over again).

Then today I checked the avatar store again to see what other award I unlocked. This time it was the awesome Joker costume. Same thing can't happen twice can it? Yes it can. The console froze and after multiple restarts it will not pass the login screens
as thats where it freezes, unless I take out the brand new hard drive I just bought.

So basically. Use avatar store, click save and exit, hard drive gets destroyed.... two of them.

I phoned Ms and the only thing they could suggest was to buy a transfer cable. Now when looking online it looks like you plug in the transfer cable with the hard drive still installed, but that won't work for me as having the hard drive in will not progress
from the frozen login screen.

Any suggestions please.

Corrupted Profile

You could try putting the hard drive into a friend / relatives console and if it turns on properly then you could delete the profile from your hard drive again, then try downloading it from your friends console and putting your own hard drive back into your
console; if it still freezes it's possibly console related or even hard drive.

If it freezes on your friends then it's your profile itself which is causing the problems unfortunately.

Is that how much space left is in the hard drive or did you buy the hard drive with 60GB of space?

Try removing the hard drive from the console and running the game back without the hard drive. See if it's the hard drive causing the issue.

If that doesn't work, maybe it is the disc. Let me know what happens after the first solution.

Sorry to hear about the issue. What kind of hard drives do you have and where were they purchased? Could you please provide us with a picture of the top and bottom of the hard drives please? You won't be able to upload images directly but feel free to use
an image hosting site of your choice.
OneDrive uses your Microsoft Account login information and is pretty easy to use. Go ahead and upload the image to the site and then give us those links.
