Avatar Gamer Picture

I bought this avatar costume from marketplace.xbox.com and when I go on the Xbox One and wear the costume and take a picture with it an old avatar gamer picture takes its place. Any idea to why this is happening?

what's up with my gamer pic

I went to avatar editor and went to gamer picture so i made my gamer picture my avatar but now my friends are saying that my gamer picture is a white avatar with no face with a white background thats not my avatar or the background i choose why is this happening

 

how to change gamer card

From the home tab: profile > edit profile > gamer picture.

If you would prefer an avatar pic: customize avatar > gamer picture.

 

Never mind. This is fixed now. I just hadn't gone on the Xbox 360 and downloaded the costume.

DENAz666, looks like I spoke too soon. I just tried changing my gamer pic and when I took the pic of my avatar it switched to an old avatar gamer picture. Anybody know why this is happening?

 

Hey buddy,

No problems, hopefully we can assist. Are you trying to set the gamer picture through your console, or through the website?

Also, remember that the website does not display your gamer picture correctly from the xbox one, for example my gamer picture that appears next to this post (on the left) is my gamer picture from my 360, and is not my current gamer picture. Your current
gamer picture will be displayed at the top right of the screen

I am setting my gamer picture on the Xbox One not on the website. I know that the gamer picture on the left is from the 360. My current gamer pic on the Xbox One is a skull with a red background. But when I take a picture of my avatar when I wear this costume:

marketplace.xbox.com/.../00000ffc-3445-82c1-c1f3-1fdb444d07d9 it shows an older gamer pic of an avatar.

 

Cool, just had to make sure I'm trying to discern whether its a system issue, or perhaps just something that you may have missed

Could i just confirm that you are following these steps:

Take a gamerpic with your avatar on Xbox One

To take a customised gamerpic, follow these steps:

1.Select the profile that you want to customise from the Home screen.

2.Select My profile.

3.Select Set gamerpic.

4.Select Make one with your avatar. Or, say “Xbox, go to avatars”.

5.Select Make a gamerpic.

6.Select Change background.

7.Select the pose that you want.

8.Place your avatar where you want it, in front of your chosen background.

9.Select Save gamerpic to set this as your gamerpic.

Note: You can also select Email picture to email this gamerpic to your Microsoft account.

If you have followed those steps exactly, then it may be a system issue in which case I will have to leave it for a Support agent, as that is me out of ideas sorry

 

Followed those exact steps. I think maybe because I bought the costume on the Xbox Website maybe? I have never had trouble with other avatars before. And all those other costumes I bought directly from the Avatar Store on the Xbox 360.

 

Yeah, it could possibly be the reason, however doesn't logically make sense... which has me totally stumped I'm sorry to say. Can you take a picture while wearing something different? that will at least tell you whether its a problem with the whole thing,
or just a problem with that specific costume

 

I put on a Panda costume I had and it worked fine then I put the costume on that I was having problems with and it didn't work. Any ideas?

 

Wow, this is such a strange problem! Are you able to delete the costume and redownload it? I've never tried that before, so am not even sure its possible. It must be the costume, or just a bug in the system... I'm at work at the moment, so can't even test
it for myself, but will when I get home and will let you know if I get the same issue.

Hopefully someone else may be able to contribute some tips that I have missed

 

I can't delete it and then redownload it because there is no Avatar Store on the Xbox One.

 

I am also experiencing the same problem, whenever I take a new gamer picture of my avatar, my profile shows an older gamer picture. I've been having this problem for a couple of months now.
