Avatar and parts of profile are missing after getting a new Xbox 360

Hey friends,

I know I wrote quite a bit here, but I just wanted to be thorough about my problem and the process I went through.

So I have an interesting one today. Unfortunately my old, original Xbox 360 finally had to be retired because the disk drive had finally called it quits. I don't play my 360 a whole lot anymore because of backwards compatibility on the Xbox One but I have
kept it around in order to play a lot of the games that are not yet supported by backwards compatibility. So obviously, I needed to buy a new 360. Luckily for me I was able to buy an Xbox 360 S from one of my friends who simply did not play on it anymore.

Now of course, my old 360 and the new 360 have a different style HDD and I did not own a HDD transfer cable to move the content over to the new system. So I did the next best thing and went through the storage on my old 360 and uploaded all game files to
the 2GB of free cloud storage Microsoft gives us for 360 game saves. After verifying that that all my game content that could be copied or moved to the cloud had been, I shut down my old system (I did not format that old one, just in case I needed anything
on it) and packed it away in the closet.

After plugging in the new 360 I made sure to format all the storage mediums (Internal storage and the HDD) in order to make sure all of my friends stuff was off of it. I then went ahead and ran the systems initial setup (in the settings menu) in order to
make sure everything was set up correctly and get it connected to my home wifi network. At this point I was now ready to download and sign into my Xbox Live account. After fiddling around with getting an app password to sign into my profile (Xbox 360 does
not support 2 factor authentication) I was successfully logged in and ready to go.
This is where my problem comes into play...

As soon as I logged in the Xbox forced me into the Avatar creator. This was strange I thought, but maybe my existing Avatar would be waiting there for me to select? Nope. It wanted me to create a new Xbox Avatar from scratch? I did not want to do this so
I pressed the guide button and then pressed 'Y' to quit to the home screen. Under the social tab, my Avatar simply appears as grey and featureless. This prompted me to check other aspects of my profile and sure enough I noticed that my Name and Bio was completely
missing as well? My location was still there as was my gamertag and gamer card, but no bio and location. Again, very weird. I checked on my Xbox App and my Xbox One and in both of those places my profile is still complete and has all my information. So I'm
not certain what is going on?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Has it happened to anyone else before? Did I maybe not transfer something to the new HDD that I needed too? Thanks everyone!
