AV receiver turns on and off at the same time upon boot

Anyone else having an issue with their AV receiver turning on and then instantly turning off everytime they issue the "xbox...on" command? My tv has worked fine, but the receiver always operates in this fashion. Any suggestions?

Comcast Cable TV works fine except no local channels and wont turn TV or AV Receiver off

I have successfully and easily connected my XBOX One to my AV receiver and cable box. All seems to be working fine except for two things.

1) The local channels which I can get through the Cable Box do not show up in the One Guide

2) When the XBOX One is turned on it also turns on the TV and AV receiver, However when the XBOX One is turned off it does not turn the TV or AV receiver offer.

Any thoughts?

AV Receiver issue with volume control

In MOST cases, there is no need to have your TV provide sound, if you have an AV receiver.... IE, An AV receiver is to replace your TV's audio.... In most cases, you usually turn off your TV's speakers, as it interferes with the quality of your AV receiver's
ability to produce great sound....

While the One does not seem capable of doing both(at least not in respect of one another), you should not have your TV's speakers turned on, if you have an "AV Receiver".....<-- kinda defeats the purpose of an AV receiver, really...

 

I can't be the only one with this issue?

 

Play with the settings on the xbox one,

Settings-->TV & OneGuide-->Devices-->Troubleshooting-->IR delay

*I changed mine to fast, but you may need to change yours to slow (its on recommended by default)

-I have to also ask, does your receiver turn on the TV?

HDMI can also turn on and off devices.

If your TV has a new Blue Ray player that turns on the TV when the Blue Ray player is turned on, check that too.

I think the issue is with another device not the Kinect.

 

Ha, actually turning it to slow didn't do anything, but figured it couldn't hurt so I tried fast, and it worked like a charm...thanks!
