'Automatically' install games

Hi all!

I can buy games from the XBox store through the website, and then when I turn my console on it's listed in My Games. I then have to select to install it, which means waiting to play. I know some games can be played before being fully installed, but is there
a way to set the console to do this automatically? On the 360 you could buy a game online from the store, and it would be completely ready to go when you got home through the joy of background downloads. I must be missing this on the One??

Is every game installed automatically? Is there any way around this?

what will happen

It depends on the game. Some games will automatically download it and install it, other games you may have to install from the game menu.

I arrive to this forum with exactly the same problem. I bought Watch Dogs yesterday via store.xbox.com from work computer and asked my girlfriend to turn on the Xbox One at home. She did it all right but when I arrived at home game has not been installed
and instead it was sitting in the My apps and games ready to be downloaded. Is there some settings I need to enable or is it because Kinect probably signed in her while the game have been bought trough my account?

I tried it last month when I enabled low powered sleep mode for console but it did not downloaded either. Issue in this case was probably that I turned off the console via controller and I should probably left it alone until it goes sleep on its own (I was
also not able to turn it on by Kinect command).

If you need to know how something specific is set in console settings, let me know.

It's a feature MS said they intend to bring out - but as yet I haven't heard any whispers of when it might happen, but pretty sure it is high on MS' list.

To be honest I'm fed up of the price of digital games hence I'm no longer buying them at release - waiting a few months instead (as the price drops dramatically) hence this feature is no longer high on my list....but if MS sorted out digital prices then
this would be my number one wish list feature.

If the game did not automatically install to your console head to the Xbox store and find the game then install it from there.

Try installing the games offline.

After that try installing only the updates online (automatically)
