Automatic sign out

Last night i was on Forza Horizon 3 and during a championship race my account signed out. i sign in, my game restarted, and i got a notification that my console needs to sync data with the game. 10 minutes later after diving around and working on cars, my
account signs out again. This has never happened before and im confused

:)

My internet has been very inconsistent lately but that isn't the issue. The issue is that I am automatically signed off of my account randomly even when I am playing offline games. I would rather not go into offline mode so I can still download things. For
example I will be playing darksiders and I will get signed off and it will stop my game and then tell me to sign in again. There is generally an issue signing in after that as well so I have to wait like 5 minutes. Anyone else seeing this issue or know of
any quick solutions aside from going into offline mode?

Hey there!

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. Have you done any troubleshooting so far? Is your console connected to your internet via Ethernet cable or are you using a wireless network connection? If you're on a wireless network, you'll want to try connecting via
Ethernet cable to see if that helps resolve your issue. You should also
power cycle your console as that can help clear things up sometimes.

If the issue continues to persist consistently, post back with a screenshot of your detailed networking statistics as well as your home network information (including make/model of your router and modem) and your ISP. That'll give us a good starting point
to look into things.

Currently there is a service alert affecting multiple core services and very likely causing this issue. It's best to wait for the technicians to work out a solution and you can be notified when the issue is resolved from the service status website:

I do not believe the issue lies with either of the two solutions you provided and here is why I think that. On some of the occasions, the controller was never on because I used the media remote to turn on, sign in, and play media. The inactivity timer
was set at one hour but I know that I have watched movies before longer than an hour without touching any remotes, pausing, fast forward, or rewinding and there have been no issues of the Xbox signing out during some of those times. Regardless I increased
it to two hours to test it going forward.

There have been times were the signouts happen within a matter of minutes upon resigning in and playing media. An example, I have been watching an episode that is no longer than 40 minutes and on three occasions it has signed out on me.

Hello Rider,

Thanks for coming to the forums. When you are watching a movie try turning the controller off while watching. Sometimes also when the console sits idle even if watching movie it will sign you out. Under power and start up try increasing the inactivity for
when it will turn off.
