    Automatic DVR not working


    Hi all, since I got my Xbox on 19/03/2014 the automatic DVR feature (records touchdowns in Madden, goals in Fifa etc.) hasn't worked. It's ticked to on in the settings and I can record manually, but it has never recorded automatically. I contacted Xbox support
    and they told me that it is currently not working for anyone and that they couldn't help. Anyone having similar problems, have any ideas etc? The suggestion that it is not working for anyone seemed like a way of getting rid of me.

    Not Recording Clips

    I'm having the same problem. Only 1 sec clips if it records at all. The manual DVR doesn't work for me either, but Battlefield 4 automatic recordings (when you level up) are annoyingly working all of the time.

    It's ok for some games, but it did have the option to turn it off, and now it's gone,

    GoonerSimon, are you in the preview programme ? I used to be, but I'm wondering if they have not removed me, my OS number is different to the latest one listed on this site, but I did ask to be removed on my console.

    Hello Bottom King,

    Have you tried any of the following?

    • Power Cycle your Console: Hold down the power button for 10 seconds and turn it back on to refresh the console cache.
    • Deleting old clips you do not currently use.
    Try those, see if that helps. Automatic DVR not working :)

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

    I've tried the power cycle and deleting the two videos that I've recorded manually and it's not rectified it.

    I'm sorry to hear about that.

    Usually after a period of time the DVR will not record instances like these. Achievement Unlocks and other periods of glory moments may auto record them.

    I could be wrong about the Kinect adapting to the game. After a consistent amount of gameplay the DVR usually at times stops. There are several other games (like Ryse for instance) will not record clips automatically after awhile so that your notifications
    are not always harassing you during gameplay.

    Is there special in game option that have to deal with Kinect? Some games have these type of options such as Battlefield 4.

    Other then that I have no more quarry about finding a solution. Someone might be able to come around. and help further id I did not fully justify your request. If not, you can always chat with a support agent.

    I'm having the same problem, my console started recording clips again yesterday, like you I thought I would turn it off again (thinking it had some how turned on),

    -

    But, the option is gone, instead of Record Gameplay with DVR it now has Allow Broadcasts and DVR uploads, and Allow Play To Streaming, I'll post back if I find a fix.

    Looks like the last update took away the option to disable it and yes it's so annoying, I hope they put it back to how it was before.
