    Automatic downloads


    I have a suggestion.

    I'm a long time Xbox owner, Gold member almost 10 years now, and I've been very happy. One of my favorite things has been the Games with Gold. I love the free content!

    However, I don't appreciate content, even if it's free, being downloaded automatically onto my Xbox without my consent. I watched E3 so I qualified for the free content that was given to viewers. I love free content, don't get me wrong, but I need all the
    hard drive space I can get. Please send a message notifying us of the free content in the future instead of automatically downloading it. It caused a momentary security concern and takes up valuable space.

    Automatic Downloads?

    Ok so I added my brothers xbox account to mine so we could play a few games a while back. I have since deleted it as he has got his own Xbox now. However I have noticed that everything he downloads is automatically downloaded to my Xbox (such as sunset
    overdrive and dlc he buys) and I don't want this to continue as it is eating up my hardrice space really quickly and using our internet data .

    How do I stop his content from being downloaded to my console?

    Automatic Downloads?

    Your console is set as his Home console. Either have him sign in on his console and change it to his Home console or you can head to Settings with your gamertag on your console and set it as your Home console.

    you got nothing yet from the e3 that is in a week

    Also automatic downloads is your own setting

    Unless you are doing something you shouldnt be doing like home console.with someone you don't kmow in which case the security issue isn't Xbox but you sharing content your aren't supposed to

    Then you are stuck with whatever they purchase should be also noted you can actually use external hds for.storage

    And only he or she should have control over his downloads not you

    Disable Automatic Downloads

    hello, yes you can, go to settings, power options, disable auto updates or auto download.... I think it was called auto updates :D anyway you can also disable instint on so you use less power and have to pay less for the power bills, but for the best experience
    stay on instint on :)
