    Automatic change gamertag and now I have to pay to choose a new gamertag


    I changed the gamertag automatically by the system. Now if I want to choose a new gamertag I have to pay 10 euro. In the past it happened to me once, but the change was free.

    I am willing to change gamertag but do not understand why I have to pay because for years it went well the one I had

    Cant change gamertag

    Bought a game yesterday to find out upon launch that I have automatic gamertag. When I tried to change it, it said I have to pay $9.99 to change a gamertag I didn't choose. So I was wondering if there can be anything done since it does say you can change
    it once for free if your gamertag is automatically generated.

    They change the rules about 2 years ago because people were abusing the free gamer tag name by choosing a new naughty tag. And your former tag is kind of naughty, which is against the rules.

    Yep,those are the rules that you agreed to.

    If you get a forced name change you are given a automatically generated tag for free.If you want to change it then you have to pay.

    Unfortunately Dave is correct. you will have to pay to change it even if you get forced gamertag change. This is from the CoC itself: ◦If you create a Gamertag that has been determined to violate the Terms of Use or Code of Conduct, the system will automatically
    choose a new Gamertag for you.

    So I agree wut Dave you might as well pay to change it now because you will have to pay to change it later.

    You will have to pay for a gamertag change. Should take into consideration that they just didn't ban your account man.
