    Today, less than an hour ago, I got a message from xbox live. When I looked at it, it was a Notice of Enforcement action. I looked through my messages and saw no real flaw in what was said aside from a couple friends and I joking around in a group chat using
    some profane words, although none of them would report me for it. I had two prior communication suspensions, the first being for something that I know I said that was heat of the moment but still unacceptable, an honest mistake. The second time I don't understand
    why I was com banned, I never sent anyone, aside from my friend group, a message that I believe would require a communication suspension. Then the third time, when I wasn't even on my xbox, today around 11:30a EST, I got a third suspension for fourteen days.
    Once again, I have not sent any messages to anyone outside of that friend group. I am not going to try and get my suspension taken away because there is obviously a reason I was communication suspended, although if it is an automated bot decided to sweep through
    messages and use old ones as a reason to com "ban" I find that is unfair to the fans of the console who have been, who are, and who continue to be suspended without an explanation behind it. If someone from Microsoft or Xbox enforcement team sees this, I would
    like to make a formal request of being able to learn the reasoning behind the communication suspension. If it's valid, I understand, if it is not I would like to discuss. Thank you for your time and effort into making a great console for gamers young and old
    to play on and enjoy. When they aren't being communication suspended without reason being told to the player/parent of the account.

    There is no automated ban process. All account/console bans/suspensions done manually by a real person.

    The enforcement team does not use the forums. Enforcement is not automated. The enforcement team does investigate every complaint they received before issuing a suspension/ban. It doesn't matter if you were speaking in a group of friends. Anything done over
    Live has to remain E for everyone. So even if your friends wouldn't report you, someone else may have reported you for some other reason, but the enforcement team found those messages. The investigations do take time which is why most suspensions are not issued
    on the same day as the action.

    The Xbox Live system does not have bots that can issue bans just because you were reported. That's not how it has ever worked on Live. To receive a ban you need to break the Xbox Live Terms of Use.

    The only 'bots' (for lack of a better word) that can invoke suspensions are the partly automated word and profanity filters. I picture violation would have to be reviewed by a real person. Simply reporting someone won't bring about a ban, permanent or otherwise.

    but this does not help him, he was wrongly banned and it is absolutely clear to see this, Microsoft have no right to ban someone with an automated bot and not have no way to contest it. Microsoft are in the wrong and this needs sorting.
