    When I try to recover my old Xbox ID I am met with the following message, "Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership." I know the correct password for the account, and when I try to sign in it tells me my account had been blocked for too many incorrect sign in attempts. I no longer have the recovery email attached, so I go through the "Account Recovery Form" and am met with the above message. I have the Xbox Live Device ID, and even a picture of the account on my old Xbox, however, after sending over a dozen attempts in the last few years, I can never get through. If there is a way I could recover this account without going through the recovery form please help me do so. Thank you.

    I'm afraid not, as explained above, the online account recovery form is the only option for recovery. Customer support can't assist with recovering your account.

    It's a Microsoft account at the end of the day, the fact that its used for Xbox is irrelevant, there is nothing I can do to bypass the automated recovery message. I simply used it for Xbox, and I don't have any emails sent to the email, therefore I don't have enough information to recover my account. Is there not a chat where I can talk to an actual person to help me recover?

    To protect customer privacy, Microsoft can only help customers verify their account ownership through the online password recovery process.

    If you remember any new details that might help with the recovery process, it's encouraged to keep trying to recover your account using the online account recovery form.

    Microsoft takes account security very seriously, that's why Account Recovery is an automated process with no human influence. If you don't have the correct information, you may not be able to get through account verification using the Recovery Form.

    The Account Recovery Form requires adequate information to prove that you are the owner of the account. The Account Recovery Process can be a time-consuming process, but providing as much info as possible from the start of the process will increase the possibility of being verified by the automated process. You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft.

    Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

    It's important to note that Microsoft Support will not be able to grant you access to your account, you will be sent back to the Account Recovery pages that have been linked above.

    We understand how important it is for you to recover your Microsoft account. I would like to inform you at the beginning that Microsoft account recovery is managed by a completely automated server, and we do not have manual access to it.

    It is true that account recovery is processed and completed by the account owner, which is you. The steps for account recovery are to update your password and fill out the account recovery form.

    By updating your password, you are required to verify your identity as account owner through the code/s sent to your security information. If that would not be possible, then you may need to fill out the account recovery form which will be the last step of account recovery process.

    It is interesting that you provided a new email to transfer all the data to the new account because Microsoft does not have tools that would allow you to transfer data from one account to another.
