Autobots: Roll Out

Hollywood knows how to kill a franchise.

Despite something being amazing the guys in the suits are convinced they know "how to do it better" and you get stuff like Spider-Man's black suit and Hawkeye's costume.

But on some very rare occasions sometimes somebody gets it right.

THIS is one of those times.

If you grew up on a solid diet of "Transformers" and "GI Joe" then you really need to check out this game.

If you didn't then you missed out on some of the greatest Saturday morning cartoons of all time.

Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Vanquish, Metal Gear Rising) are behind this and most reviews are saying it's good.

Comes out in the UK this Friday but Americans have no excuse as it was released Tuesday and an copy should be lying right next to your shotgun.

Looks like they have captured the original cartoon perfectly.

I babysit and the kids love watching Transformers on Netflix.

I feel like Im looking at autobots and decepticons.

 

This almost slipped under my radar until recently.

I've enjoyed some previous Transformers games but according to what I've read on various sites, Twitter, a couple of game sites this is loads of fun to play.

Definitely grabbing this tomorrow.

After watching the films (which seemingly got worse with each progressive sequel), I went back to watch the old TV series and came to realize that it's not that great either (I just didn't realize this when I was a kid) - this game, while it may be good,
does not inspire confidence in me, especially since it's made by a developer who has made 2 other games that I care very little about, if at all...

So, in other words.... Thanks, but I'll pass on this one.

He is the coolest Transformer hands down with that funky robo-voice.

And he has "minions".

I can't wait.

 

I watched the "Super Best Friends" play the new Transformers game on Youtube and it looks really good...if you like Beat'em ups. Which I do! I will definitely get this game, eventually. I have too much of my funds going into shotgun shells at the moment.
Living in the desert is crazy....

 

I do want it but heard it was like 4 hours and it's a full priced game. Guess I'll wait for it to be free with gold

 

Looks freaking cool and nostalgic as hell but I have heard it's only around 4 hours for a full priced game! I think I'll wait until it's on sale. Very happy that this game is a thing though!

 

Oh wow, I didn't realise it was going to look like the original cartoons! Is this just a fighting game? I wish this had a story mode or something.

^Oh ok, thanks mate, I did notice you say that before, but wasn't sure if that was like beating the ladder or something, haha. Awesome, might check it out when it's cheaper.

 

I'll have a better idea how long the story is after playing it.

4 hours for a self proclaimed "gaming expert" rushing on easy might not translate into 4 hours to a gainfully employed individual with a family, life and more than 1 game.
