    Auto updates are leaving my Xbox on


    After each of the last 3 updates, I have woken up to my TV and Xbox being on. This morning's update was 3am, meaning everything was on for 4 hours! I know I can set it so it turns off quicker than that, but that's missing the point, as I have never had this problem before. Any ideas?

    Before you leave the program, can you add me into the Preview? Seriously. I'd like to be part of the preview.

    But let me ask you..... do you have the machine set to auto-update (not the one where it's the energy saver, but the low power mode)? I'm curious if it will auto-update overnight if you leave it to.

    Hi, yeah i leave it on auto update followed all the steps on the xbox advice page from last time it didnt do it and it still didnt do it again.

    Suggestion: Xbox gamers should be notified about future updates

    This could be a good idea, but there also alot of different divisions and ways the updates are rolled out, each region, and even the insider groups get updates at different intervals.

    Its recommended to just leave your xbox in fast start up and leave the internet connected with the auto update OS option to help you have uninterrupted play time

    Turn on Instant On and Auto Update. Then turn it off and leave it plugged in for a while. I too didn't get the update. I told it to turn off and I left it alone for about an hour. I came back, said Xbox On and saw a green bar on the screen. The update finished

    Same problem. No settings to adjust, leaving controller plugged into the USB doesn't keep it from auto dimming, and this issue began when the update rolled out. PLEASE FIX!!!!
