    Hi my xbox auto update but the settings are off . i all so do the Xbox beta testing as well and every time they upload a new thing for us to try my xbox does not care if im play and i lose all my hard work it needs to tell there is a new update not just

    Xbox One Automatic Annoying Updates

    Seems like its either not downloading the updates while you have the XB1 off or you are leaving it on in which case its not going to update until you turn it off your message isnt entirely clear in that regard. Considering you said you "normally do not turn my Xbox One however"

    If you turn the XB1 off with auto update on it will update. If you dont turn the XB1 off it will never auto update you will have to manually do it.

    Auto Update is a feature that is used when the Xbox is off but still in that low lower state. It doesnt work when the XB1 is on.

    I'd like an option to check for updates all games...

    ehh I don't mind it auto updates but I would like a notifications when it is updated and what the update does

    its the xbox survey app every time there is an update my game will shut down with out warning the can be a really bad thing when now most game are online play like ark and division witch could mean i will lose a lot of hard work oh yes my xbox auto update
    is off.

    I noticed with BF4 it downloads the update for me but when I start the game it then says it needs an update. I think it downloads the patch in the background but actually requires you to manually install it if that makes sense.

    I usually check for updates when i log in on my console. Sometime they are just released when i log in then i do them manually. I also check which games have updated as i have the instant on and keep games and apps up to date.

    It does work in my opinion.
