    Auto turn off doesn't work


    I have the settings enabled to where after an hour of inactivity the Xbox should turn off to the power saver mode, but it never does. Is there a way to have it turn off automatically when it is in the TV app?

    Can not turn OFF auto-renewal

    Hey Randy,

    I would suggest trying to turn off the auto renewal in IE if that doesn't work then contact Xbox Support by phone and they will be able to turn off auto renewal for you.

    post update, auto-off no longer seems to work

    My Xbox One is set to automatically turn off after inactivity. That doesn't seem to work anymore. Anyone else? It sat on overnight recently. Causes my receiver and projector to also not turn off (if they detect a signal, they won't auto turn off either).

    Hi, try switching the setting to instant-on mode and it should power down after the specified time you have chosen.

    @Wikkiwild1 - according to what I've seen on other threads turning off auto renewal doesn't work online. He will have to contact support anyway.

    Sorry, but there's nothing anyone on the forums would be able to do either. Since auto-renewal was still turned on, they would have still tried to charge your card. Since they couldn't, you accrued a balance you had to pay off before you could get back online.

    If turning off auto-renewal doesn't work on the website, you can always call support and they can turn it off for you.

    If you're having trouble turning auto-renew off on the website, you will have to call support to have them turn it off.

    btw, the pop up on the console asking if you want to renew your membership doesn't actually turn off auto-renewal for some reason.

    That message says "Would you like to renew NOW." Saying no doesn't turn your auto-renew off. You can turn off auto-renew from the website now by the way, otherwise you have to call support to do it.
