Auto Targeting on PC/xbox controller will glitch out until I shoot with the mouse

It seems like precision is optional on a console.

It's not, but the control paradigm is different.

Just the fact that there is something like aim assist in a game is questionable.

There's aim assist
on PC, but most don't use it.



And you can't state this:

I am not biased to keyboard and mouse.

then state this:

In my opinion and experience the mouse is the only precise way to move + look around + target and shoot.

The two statements contradict each other.



It takes time to adapt to a controller. If you try to treat it like a keyboard and mouse, things won't go well.

Its alot smoother motion and alot faster. I used to be a pc gamer and there are gaming setups out there where you could shoot faster with the right mouse equipped with a macro. Keyboard vs Contoller. Keyboard always wins. Especially with movement. Coming
from pc games i find it hard to halo jump and shoot at the same time maybe im just not used to controller yet. I have now moved to tactical layout to better adapt my movement. However if i was using a keyboard and mouse i could be drop shotting jumping around
with ease rapidly without messing up any rythm making me a hard target to hit and deadly precision with the mouse. So ya it should be cheating, heck if i would of known about this setup transitioning from pc to console i would have alot better stats +(

I play MW3 on consoles and BF3 on PC. BF3 definitely shines on the PC and I feel like I need the accuracy of the mouse to effectively shoot enemies in BF3 whereas COD games are much more manageable with auto-aim. I like BF3 better overall

started with BF2 on brothers PC.....then 2142. then took a break and didnt touch it again until BC1 came out on console......needless to say, i have never gone back to PC. i am not as effective with the mouse/keyboard as i am with an xbox controller.

pc over console? really? I can out shoot most with a mouse console takes much more skill. ty.
