    Auto Sign In on Xbox


    I need help. When I try to switch accounts on Xbox console companion or Xbox app it doesn't show a list of my other accounts. It auto signs it one of my alt accounts every time time I try to sign back in to a different account.

    Also, I've posted this question from another "Ask a Question" form and a Microsoft Moderator replied to my issue by saying "This actually happens because the app signs you automatically to the Microsoft account used for your Windows session. Even if you change the session, the same thing will happen with that account because you can't be signed in to a windows session and use a different Microsoft account on the the app. The only work around concerning this case is to manually sign out and change the Xbox profile." But I don't understand how to 'manually' sign out and change the Xbox profile. I asked him what he meant by that, but hasn't responded since June 10, 2021.

    There should be a setting to auto-sign-in.

    To turn the auto sign-in feature on or off, follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to Xbox LIVE.
    2. Press the Guide button.
    3. Move to the Settings blade, and then select Profile.
    4. Select Auto Sign-in, and then make any changes that you want.
    The auto sign-in setting is saved on your Xbox 360 Console but not in the profile on the Xbox LIVE servers. If you turn on the auto sign-in feature on your console, the setting is saved on your console, but you are not signed in automatically if you
    use your profile on a different console.

    Only one profile can have the auto sign-in feature turned on in one Xbox 360 console. If you have multiple profiles on one console, the auto sign-in feature for the first profile is automatically turned off when you turn on the auto sign-in feature for
    a second profile.

    Automatic SIgn in not working

    The auto sign in is checked. That is only for profile sign in though which it does. It doesnt auto sign me onto xbox live though.

    On the dashboard, go to "My Xbox" and click on the part that has your avatar on it.

    Then, click "Profile"

    Scroll down to "Sign-In Preferences"

    Then you can choose the auto sign-in for your GamerTag and for auto sign-in to messenger.

    Click "No" under the messenger auto sign-in.

    It sounds like your xbox may be set to auto sign into a profile that is not the one you are trying to use smartglass on. To disable your auto sign in or change it to the profile associated with your smartglass follow these steps.

    Sign in to Xbox Live.

    Select Settings, and then select Profile.

    Select Sign-in Preferences.

    Select Auto Sign-in, and then make the changes that you want.
