Auto renewal despite using pre paid card.

So I tried to delete my debit card information, which I used for game transactions, from my Xbox Live account today and it told me that I was unable to because my account was set up to auto renew my subscription with my debit card.

Yet I used a pre-paid card as a payment option for Xbox Live.

So why is auto renew on? This is most annoying because now I have to spend money phoning Microsoft support to remove the auto renewal, which I wanted to avoid in the first place by paying with a pre paid card.

On top of that it states on support page that I cannot remove payment options until the subscription runs out, despite paying with a pre-paid card!

Microsoft are you having a laugh or what? :/

Auto-Renewal can now be turned off..with a catch

Using a pre-paid subscription card would solve the auto-renewal and potential hacking issue - Which is what I always does.

 

Can't turn of auto renew

Hey, I just got my gold member ship (3 months) using a pre paid visa card. Now i cannot turn of auto renew every time i try to it comes up saying.

Change Settings: Auto Renewal
When I check back it said Automatic Renewal: On (Change) when i click change again it still on Auto Renewal please help

As I am aware, auto renewal comes on if there is payment information stored on your Microsoft Account. If your wanting to turn off auto renewal, you will need to visit your account summery page. You can do this by going into the top right corner where your
name is, then hover your mouse over it. this should bring down a drop down menu, where you can click onto My Account . This should be where you are able to cancel auto renewal.

There's no option to cancel auto renewal on my account via the website.

Have you been to Sign in to your Microsoft account

Then click onto Subscriptions

Is it still not there for you. If not, please use my link provided to contact Xbox Support. They will be able to sort you out on their end.

Yes I have been to subscriptions. I tend to get issues through the website due to being in the UK as it always seems to go to the US side of the site and treats me as being in the wrong location.

The link you offered gives me a runtime error.
