    Auto renew.


    For the first time in a long time i have just added a 3 month pre-paid gold card, my first thought was to turn off auto renew.

    After going through all the motions i have found the auto renew has not turned itself back on as it used to, and in the small print it says at expiry my account will just revert to silver.

    This is exactly what i want to happen, but i thought it was standard that auto renew turned back on whenever you resubscribe.

    Does auto renew no longer turn back on with a pre-paid card?

    Is there a monthly subscription for Xbox Live on Xbox One? How much is it?

    You can buy a 12 month auto renewal for $60. Monthly auto renewal is $9.99.

    I canceled my auto renew and xbox still charged my card

    I turned my auto renew off last year and xbox keeps charging my card to auto renew. Any one ever have the same issue?

    Auto renew.

    Auto renew doesn't turn on with prepaid cards. It never has or it never should have.

    Every time i have been gold i have had to turn off auto renew.

    In the past i have subscribed using a credit card,pre-paid card and used the free trials, and each time i have had to turn it off.

    I've always only used prepaid cards and it's never turned on auto-renew. There's nothing for it to charge for an auto-renew so it shouldn't turn it on.

    yeah auto renew ONLY turns on when you buy a membership on your 360 using a credit/debit card or paypal. buying gold live cards in stores do not turn it on.

    Auto renew.

    I accidentally renewed my account using a debit card, not realising my account was on auto renew, then added a few months worth of prepaid cards. I wanted then to cancel this auto renew setting, went through all the menus - subscriptions/billing info etc.
    and there is no link letting me cancel auto renew. whenever I try and just remove the debit card to prevent future transactions taking place, it says I must cancel auto renew, but I can't?

    Does anyone have a solution to this?

    You cannot remove a credit card linked to an active gold subscription, unless you add another one.

    You can access the option to turn off auto renew by clicking "my account" under your gamertag at the top of this page

    Why get rid of Gold Family?

    Mine auto renewed in February, I've talked to friends who have also had theirs renew recently, Friends without auto renew selected can't rebuy. So it seems it renewed if set to auto, and you lost it if it wasn't.

    To cancel auto-renewal you need to go too the xbox website then go too payment and billing find Xbox game pass then turn off auto renewal on the game pass

    then it should cancel your auto renewal.

    You need to turn off your auto-renew first, then try removing the expired card. As long as the account is still set to auto-renew you will need to have a card for it to renew to. If you wish to keep the auto-renew on then you need to change the card it renews
    to first before removing the old card. Hope this helps.
