auto made xbox account

I am not sure if you mean "account" as in Gamertag. Your Gamertag is your identity on Xbox Live. It’s how other users see you in games, send you friend and game invites, and send messages. Your account is your e-mail that you use to log in to see or make purchases, and log in to your Xbox.

It’s not possible to combine Microsoft accounts, nor can you transfer such things as your gamertag, account purchases and balance, or game progress from one account to another.

However, if you do mean your Gamertag that may have been auto-generated, here are instructions on how you can change it. How to change your Xbox gamertag | Xbox Support

when you create a new microsoft account (email) it auto creates and xbox account as they are now one in the same, there is no way to transfer from one to another, you could have created an alias on the xbox account and then made that primary but you cant add an already created microsoft account.

subscription made within xbox get auto renewed when the current subscription runs out.

Also, sorry I forget to add I change originally from auto detect to HDMI back to auto detect via my xbox display settings would that have made a difference to why it wont work?

Yeah I have the same issue as you ClearerMeat85. I tried putting my new email on my xbox and it made me create a new profile for it.

When I try to change my account's email to a different one, it says that email doesnt have an xbox account... which is the point because it auto-assigns me a new account when I try that.
