Hello @✔Anonymous✔.! I hope that you are doing well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support!

Here's how to change the screen resolution, color depth, and color space settings for an HDTV or monitor that's connected to an Xbox One console by an HDMI cable.

    Screen resolution:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.
    3. Under Display, select the appropriate screen resolution for your TV or monitor.

Note The Xbox One console supports screen resolutions of 720p and 1080p. The Xbox One X and Xbox One S consoles also support screen resolutions of 1440p and 4K UHD. For more info, see About TV resolutions and Xbox One.
    Color depth:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.
    3. Select Video fidelity & overscan > Color depth.
    4. Select the option that works best for your HDTV or monitor.

Note Color depth is how much color information per pixel is sent to the TV or monitor. Color depth of 30 bits per pixel (bpp) or higher is known as "deep color." Not all HDTVs accept deep color information.
    Color space:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.
    3. Select Video fidelity & overscan > Color space.
    4. Select the option appropriate for your TV or monitor:
      • Standard (recommended) – The optimal reference level. It should work for all displays.
      • PC RGB – Recommended only if you're using a PC monitor and colors from the "Standard" setting don't look optimal.
I also highly advise you to check the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the link below:

Set up 4K gaming at 120 Hz on Xbox Series X | Xbox Support.

I hope this helps you out! wish you lovely day!

    Kind regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!

Xbox One X no Dolby Atmos using Samsung HW-N950 & Samsung QE65Q9FN 4KTV

The Xbox is able to recognise the Dolby Atmos capability on the soundbar if connected directly .

However FreeSync (variable refresh rate ) is not selectable on the display and sound settings page of the Xbox X.

Free Sync is available on my Samsung Q9 and is an option in the game mode menu of the TV.

Game mode is a TV mode that allows low latency on Samsung (and other manufacturers) TV's.

My TV allows Auto Low Latency and this doesn't work when plugged directly into the soundbar (Samsung HW-N950) despite Auto Low -Latency being recognised on the Display & Sound settings page on the Xbox X. The TV will not allow this when the Xbox is plugged
into the soundbar via HDMI then into the TV by HDMI ARC.

Auto Game mode or Auto Low Latency turns on game mode while playing games but turns game mode off automatically should i use a blu ray disc for example.

So two modes made available to me by Xbox and Samsung currently don't work in tandem in the correct manner.
