2. Auto log in doesnt work...

I was having a bit of the same issue. Turning off my router and xbox, and then restarting the router has seemed to have cleared up the problem. Give it a shot!

Hi helvetica237,

Sorry you're having issues with your Auto-Login. Are you using the Kinect to log you in, or do you have it setup to just log you in automatically no matter what? Please let us know. If it's the Kinect login try to do the "I wasn't recognized" a few times,
right by where you login with your profile.

With the controller, have you tried updating the firmware on it? See the link below. It's for the stereo headset, but the process is the same for any controller firmware updates.

thanks for your reply. I have it set to auto log in. I do not have my kinect plugged in. I have the controller and the OS up to date. I use the "I wasn't recognized" every time it does not recognize me.

These issues did not happen when i turned my console to turn off vs sleep. I prefer not to do a whole start up everytime, but then this happens.

Hi helvetica237,

Thanks for the reply. So if you don't have Kinect the "I wasn't recognized" really won't help as it's a Kinect feature. That said. Try removing and adding your profile back, then setting it up to sign in auto-magically

1. Press the Menu button on the controller.

1. Select Settings.

Note You can say “Xbox, go to settings” from any screen, but you’ll need a controller once you’re on the Settings screen.
2. Select Sign-in, security & passkey.
3. Select Remove me from this Xbox and then confirm by selecting Remove my account.
4. Return to the Home screen and select the arrow icon next to Sign-in in the upper-left corner of the screen.
5. Select Add new.
6. Sign in with your new Microsoft account email address and password.

Why isn't there an Auto-Login without Kinect?
There is no auto log in without it because the whole way that it works is by scanning your face. Therefore no kinnect no auto login.
That's the problem. Why can't auto login work without Kinect? He's not asking for a magical feature that determines which user is playing and attempts to log them in. He's asking for a feature like the Xbox 360's auto login that will automatically log in
the same profile (or profiles) every time. Why does his system need to scan for faces and log him in based on that information rather than simply logging him in automatically without scanning when he's going to be the only one playing?
