Auto Game Updates

Hello Guys,

I don't know why but my Xbox does not automatically download Game-Updates, although i enabled this function any settings. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

I've never read that the Xbox One is supposed to perform game updates in standby ?

As far as I'm aware the auto update feature is for console updates.

 

My system dosent turn off, wont update games in "sleep mode"

Well i know the xb1 stays running when you turn if off, but Why wont my xbos auto update games? Every time i get on i have to update a game, but i have auto update on

Thank you for the quick response. Unfortunately, none of these Steps were Helpful. Most of them seem to relate to manual Updates as well, but I am talking about automatic updates that should happen in the time I am away from my Xbox. This is really frustrating
especially since i have a rather slow Wifi connection.

I would very much appreciate some further Help.

Is this all games not updating or just some. In my experience I do have a lot that will update automatically, but occasionally there is an update I will have to do manually. These usually are bigger than normal.

Paul from Xbox Forums Team here to help assist with the issue, it looks like the games aren't automatically updating even though the settings is turned on. How long has this issue been going on for? If it just started today do be advised that we do have
a service alert which may be causing this issue. Here is a link to our
Xbox Live Service Status. I hope this information is helpful in resolving the issue.

I am not really aware as to how you can see that. I've never seen anything saying "limited network" in my router setting page or on any device that's connected to our Wifi. How do i find out if it is limited? Kinda a noob concerning Network stuff.

I think my Xbox did one auto-update within the past year or even longer ago. It doesn't matter wether it is a major Update or just a small Bugfix, it won't Update until i press the download button or turn the Xbox on.

Hey UA! From the information provided, sounds like the console would benefit from performing a soft factory reset
(while keeping games and apps) since the problem seems to be software related. Go ahead and give it a try and let us know if it helped!
