Auto DVR

Since the last update wheres the option to disable auto DVR recording., it looks like the option as been renamed and when this is uncheck it still records, this seems to be a step backwards .

Game DVR Won't Record Sound In Clips

Well I can no longer turn auto dvr off.

 

Ca be frustrating!

Or go to settings, go to game dvr, you can untick the auto record game dvr box and you will find your "record that" will work fine still.

Let's see if we can help get this sorted. Are you saying that your DVR still records after making sure that Allow broadcasts and Game DVR uploads is not checked? If you have not tried this yet I recommend trying the following steps.

Please give the following steps a try:

• From the Dashboard press the Menu button on your controller
• Select settings.
• Select preferences.
• Under System & APP uncheck Allow broadcasts and Game DVR uploads.
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Leave the console unplugged for 5 minutes and plug in your console.
• Power on your console.
• Check to see if your DVR is disabled.

Doing what you suggested makes no difference. It still auto records, it never did it before the April update which changed the option. It used to say allow game dvr records now it says allow uploads and broadcasts.

 

Hey guys I just spoke to someone from MICROSOFT.

Heres the bottom line.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do this without turning the DVR off completely. This is because it's built into the game. It's up to the developers to disable that feature.

To put it simply... If you disable your DVR (your only option to stop auto-recording), you cannot use the 'Xbox Record That' feature.

If we spread awareness and voice our thoughts on this, Microsoft can release updates to improve our issue with the Auto DVR.
