    Auto Controller Shut off


    Hi, Im playing Call of duty with mouse and keyboard on my xbox (there are only two usb port) so to use my headset i have to plug it into my controller and have that running on battery. But after 10-15 minutes it shuts down. Which also freezes movement for
    a couple seconds (which can be HUGELY detrimental to the gameplay and ive got killed many of times cause i just stand still get sniped in the head, not to mention my comms go dark i cant communicate with team for almost 30 seconds while the controller turns
    back on and is finnaly able to pick up my voice.

    How do i turn off the auto controller function, I dont care how many batteries i go through id rather not have this annoyance. And im not buying a wireless headset when i have a perfectly good 200$ wired headset. This should be an easy thing to code and
    ive seen MANY of people wishing to have this feature OPTIONAL. Please do something about this, Cause these Quality of life things are what turn me away from supporting a company when their competitors do it.

    I have been arguing for this feature myself. I do enjoy playing with a keyboard and a mouse, but it makes things hard when I need to keep using my controller, so it will not shut off.

    Also thanks for the link I googled about this issue first and the only thing that showed up was for "xboxuservoice" or something along those lines. Anyways that page was no longer in existence. So this link helps.

    I understand with the wire normally it would work but I have an elite 2 and somehow the wire doesn't matter. I'm guessing the console thinks because it's full charged so it no longer needs to stay on maybe? I just know I shouldn't have to buy a new controller
    just to keep it plugged in. Either way it should just be an option to keep it on but thank you for the help :)

    Hi,

    The only way to let your controller always on its to plug a usb cable on a usb port, like this it will stay on... i know it could be frustating but its the only way. Put your comment here too ( https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2014/06/09/events-xbox-feedback-site-e3/ ) cause
    Microsoft like to read any feedbacks and maybe will make an update soon...

    Great, but that would be operating under the assumption that the controller is on all the time (the wireless auto shut off after about 15 minutes)...
