    authorization error.


    i'm trying to buy metal gear solid HD collection on xbox live. but every time i do that it says that it couldn't get authorization. the error code is the infamous 80167611. is this a joke? is it supposed to be funny?! i tried every solution possible. none
    worked. i called my bank. it did not work. how am i supposed to stay a loyal customer to xbox when their service is worse the the competitors?!? why is this a thing?!? it's not funny! please! someone tell me how to fix it!

    Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option.

    Authorization error means Xbox is sending a request for the payment to your bank and it is being declined.

    Get in contact with your bank/card company and ask if you have any restrictions on the card or what may be causing an authorization error.

    authorization error.

    One of the steps from support suggest : Remove the payment option and re-add it to your account

    if you get authorization failure, please contact your bank department for them to activate or authorize the credit card you used. If you get that error, that means that the card have not yet been authorized by your bank department to be used for online purchases
