  1. Australia & NZ

Hey guys and gals, I've been playing this on XB1 since last November and there's a few points I need to make about this. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get a match with locals no matter when, Onslaught is a waste of time unless you like "no matches
found" Topic - I gave away my 360 version and am happy to buy it again, But how are we going in this part of the globe? Are you guys getting games? Other option is PS4 but I think this runs fine on 360. I'm at the point where I'm playing BF4 instead, That's
fun and all but I like COD more, even with all of it's faults.

    :)

April 18 2012 Vevo has released on xbox 360. Who has it?

PS I live in NZ so Australia probably has it too since New Zealand & Australia are both Xbox 360 PAL regions.

It is the same deal on the 360 version. I played for a while and only found a few people from AUS/NZ, the rest were from the States, which made for an unbelievable amount of lag and difficulties. Seems as though local has been flushed down the toilet, unless
there is something I don't know about? I have not been following or up to date with this for a bit.

  5. Mafivee, There's always been loads on Aus and NZ players with COD, Can still get into MW2. It's confusing and frustrating, I'm really guessing here but isn't Europe and N.A usinf dedis? Could we possibly be the dregs of cod and playing with P2P with other
countries? Anyway, thanks for letting me know, i'm missing playing locally tbh

Yes I'm well aware that there has always been loads of Aus and NZ players... well the same old people over and over. I'm talking about recently, as you seemed to be referring to where there has been a lot of games where there has not been Aus and NZ players.
It's as if they have taken our local matching out since we are a small proportion of the CoD community.

I don't know what the deal is now as I haven't played it in a few weeks as I've moved on to bigger and better things.

why do the controllers not last more then a couple of months if your lucky!

If you live in NZ, Australia, and I think the UK, Microsoft NZ, Microsoft Australia, and Microsoft UK (since Microsoft has offices worldwide) will give you a 12 month warranty when you buy a new controller, due to consumer rights legislation in these countries.
NZ and Australia have very good consumer rights legislation. As Australia puts it, they have "guarantees which cannot be excluded by any contract". Similar for NZ too.

    5 and a half!!!

Current time for me, is NZ time TUESDAY 11 NOVEMBER 7:08 AM! And in Australia, it's 5:08 AM. (Australia is 2 hours behind NZ time) So NZ and Australia can enjoy the game now.

Have to pick up my copy from EB Games this morning. I'm HIGH for this game ^^ :)

Kinect voice control for Xbox One only available in 5 countries

The majority of Australian and NZ players speak English well, but voice control won't be available here. Are they boycotting Australia and NZ? Tomorrow is the start of September a lot can happen between now and when they release the console in November.
At least Australia and NZ are still pushing for a November release date.

Good News for Australian & New Zealand members!

On my Samsung S5, When I got it from Spark NZ late last year, it already has a TVNZ app on it and TVNZ is support it. Xbox needs more TV apps. Australia has 'em. TVNZ wholly owned by NZ, is like the biggest television company here apart from Sky TV. I'm
surprised they support Samsung, but not Microsoft, and yes Microsoft has several offices in NZ. I am happier that Netflix and Microsoft said the program is coming over here, usually it's only a US and UK thing.

And also New Zealanders, Voice Commands is now unlocked, but in order for it to work without changing to Australia or pretending to be from the US/UK, select NZ locale, and in the language setting, select English (Australia). There is no English (NZ). If
you select none, you will be locked out from using voice commands, select English (Australia) and NZ locale, and go have fun :). It's OK for New Zealanders to pretend we're from Australia I guess because of the little time difference and good rapport between
our governments. Me and my family went to Sydney late December had a blast. New Zealanders can actually live and work there pretty much straight away without applying for a visa I think. Though Australia gives you a special visa because of the relationship
between us. In Australia, things are much cheaper and wages much better than in NZ. NZ's minimum wage and youth wages is peanuts compared to Australia (but it's better than US/UK). When I visited Australia, NZ$1 = AU$0.94-$0.96 cents, yet Screamride is $49.99
there and $69.99 here. Our ISP is Spark NZ they're the biggest ISP in NZ and the second biggest mobile network company in NZ (biggest MOBILE provider is Vodafone).

    Cost versus value? Betrayed?

I checked out how much Recore costs from Microsoft. In Australia, they charge them only AU$49.95. But in NZ, they charge $79.40. NZ$1 = roughly AU 97 cents. So this is indeed a rip off for NZ. I should just go to JB Hi Fi (which is an Australian/NZ retailer)
and they sell the disc version for NZ$54. I'll trade in Quantum Break as I hardly play it and save even more. NZ$54 = AU$52.48. I checked JB Hi Fi Australia and they're selling it for AU$49 which would be NZ$50.42. Even EB Games which tends to be the most
expensive retailer is selling Recore for $59. So yes, Microsoft is ripping of NZ on Recore. The option has crossed my mind about moving to Australia, since NZ citizens can live school and work in Australia indefinitely without requiring any visa something
which other countries would need, due to the relationships our two governments have. Wages and the cost of things are just much more fairer in Australia.
