August Update

its not ready yet either next week or the week after most likely its got some buugs right now that they have to fix but its better than it was

 

Yeah i had a message off Xbox Live yesterday saying that the 1408 update will be dropping soon, no idea whats included in this one. I don't use the TV features though so can't comment on that.

 

How soon though?! This morning I turn my One on and absolutely nothing works. Everything to the left of the main home screen is permanently in a state of loading, as is the right-hand side. I can't click on any of the tiles - friends, Netflix, achievements
or the last game I played...I can't even play a game on a console I specifically bought to play games on!!! Last time it did this I thought my One bricked. Now I understand they are trying to improve things but I don't agree with the mandatory element - I
wanted an hour on Forza before the golf but that isn't happening now. There's not really much point moaning about the Ones Live being down last night given the current situation.

 

I haven't turned mine on since the service alert last night. The update though, I hope its a quick one. I LOVE the fact that the console and the games are updated frequently but they always hit me at the wrong time lol. I'll sit down after not playing for
a few days, to see updates. On my connection, they usually take a while.

 

In my opinion Microsoft have been fantastic with their constant support and updates for Xbox One.

Long may it continue.

 

Playing devils advocate you could easily argue that the majority of the updates are features that should have been there from the start!

 

I have some sympathy with that point of view. Do you think both Sony and Microsoft launched too soon?

They do look like ones which are on the feedback program so shows thats seems to be working, 3D support didn't expect that so quickly, but all seems fine and dandy to me.

 

Looks really nice! and finally a low battery indicator!!!!

 

Can you snap friends list yet or with the august update?

 

I see it as coming soon, is there a way to force check for the update ? I really what to check out the 3D Blue ray soooo Bad..

 

on last months I remember doing a hard reset and the option to update appeared, but its not worked so far yet
