August Update Info

According to the preview forums there's a fix coming, but until then the only known fix is to do a factory reset of the console.

 

Ready to Start bug? Whats that?

 

Hey 24hrs, that stupid bug where your apps and games say "Ready to Start" and will not go away. It thinks there is an update for your game or apps. If you delete the app and reinstall it, that works for apps. I haven't done that for a game though.

I have a quick question & I hope that you guys don't mind me asking it

When a new disc game is being installed, is there an option that you can select that says "turn off my console after installation"? Or are you required to be there to turn off your console manually?

Is this ability (turn off your console after installation) going to be a future update (if it isn't already available now)?

Hmm I guess I havent been playing enough games to see this. All the games I have installed are digital and never had this happen. Id lose my mind tryng to redownload COD or Forza.

 

The "Ready to Start" message doesn't effect my games, just that I can't see what memory it takes up. I really only bothered with it when I setup my 1TB External and copied all content to it.

 

I didn't have to delete anything, it all still played.

I tell you one thing tho, copying these games are hella fast compared to Downloading / installing.

 

@DOAX3, once you actually start downloading/installing you can then immediately turn off the console and it will continue to install/download with the xbox in standby.

 

I hope voice messages never come back. I instantly delete them on 360.

There may not be voice messaging in this update, but there is video messaging.

 

It's good to have a little patience and I'm sure voice messaging will come soon. Look at all the updates we've got, more than just one update a month, should be thankful and not feel entitled.
