August 19. Update made xbox unplayable. Skipping tiles + xbox guide button is now my B button.

When I got on this morning i thought my controller was being weird. It was hypersensitive on the home and guide. Skipping every tile left and right and up and down. Then my back button wouldn’t work to exit guide. I went to app to see if there was an update and their was. So i tried to look at patch notes and they will not appear. They pull up for half a second then close . So i went to report a problem and it showed collecting data then closes the guide. I got on hyperscape and noticed my B button would not work. Then i opened guide and it appears that my xbox button has been assigned the role of my back button. It even pings in game when clicked like the B button should. I dont know what to do. Tried hard resetting. Restarting. Unplugging controller. So im positive it has to due with the update. It makes xbox unplayable and hard to navigate. Will there be a hot fix. Should i go out of the xbox insider and go back in a couple of days? Is there troubleshooting? I NEED HELP

Hey Marklett,

Try these solutions:

Solution 1: Start the app again

To resolve this issue, quit and restart the app:

1. If the app is available on the Home screen—in either the big center tile or one of the four "most recently used" tiles—highlight that tile with your controller (but don't select it).
2. Press the Menu button on the controller.

1. If the option to Quit is present, select it. (If it's not present, the app is not currently running.)
2. Once you're sure the app is closed, re-launch the app by selecting it from the recently used tiles or from My games & apps.
If the app doesn't start, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Restart your Xbox One console

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Note Pressing the Xbox button opens the guide from any screen on the console.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Restart console.
4. Select Yes to confirm.
5. Try to launch the app again.
Note If you're unable to access the guide or if the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on
the console again to restart. Try to launch the app again.

Solution 3: Uninstall and reinstall the app

If the issue still isn't resolved, try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it. Here's how:

1. On Home, move right and select My games & apps.
2. Highlight the content you want to uninstall.
3. Press the Menu button on your controller.
4. Select Uninstall.
If you keep experiencing the problem, contact

Best,

Nozzle :).
