    Audio visual questions


    Hi all,

    First time poster i hope these questions are ok.

    The first question, I am having a weird issue with my sub, it detects audio indicated by the standby light turning blue however doesn't output any sound unless I turn the sub off and on any idea what might
    be going on?

    Second question, I have just bought a new TV Q85T which is awesome, however my Xbox does not detect VRR/freesync or the low latency mode, I assume this will be because of my AV receiver? I do have the option
    to connect via Optical but from what I read, HDMI is always best is there even a way perhaps via a splitter i can send audio one way and video straight to the TV? i am on a 5.1 surround so not sure even if HDMI will be that beneficial for me as my receiver
    does not support atmos.

    Speakers are Onkyo 5.1 can't remember the exact model but cost around £600 about 2 years ago and the receiver is Pioneer VSX-330-K

    Samsung provided me with an answer to the second question I wasn't aware the ARC HDMI will send audio to an AV Reciever while Xbox is plugged directly into a different HDMI (thought it all had to be run through the ARC HDMI, so that solved that problem.

    Thought I would provide an update encase anyone else may have similar issues.

    Thanks for the replies. If I use the audio adapter alongside an HDMI for the Visual will the audio quality be any better than using the headphone jack?
