Audio/videos delay of captures

Do you have a high-speed uninterrupted internet connection, and your computer is connected with a LAN cable?

If slow speed internet means, Sync will not work at all times.

Before playing games, close all running programs,, disable background running applications, allow game files in firewall app.

FWIW... I have also had some luck toggling 4K off (Settings>General>TV and Display Options>Video Modes) and then switching between different capture durations as well 720p/1080p; it's not a sure 'fix' but it seems to reset whatever the bug is after ~3-5 tries.

Just keep changing these settings a few times and make test clips just navigating game menus with audio feedback- then quitting the game and deleting corrupted ones as you go- until you can confirm the video delay is gone. (In my experience there's no "optimal combination" of resolution/duration; one may work just fine for a while before the issue returns, and you have to repeat the process.)

This has been an ongoing intermittent issue for me, as well. The troubleshooting Microsoft suggests is to change your sound settings to "stereo uncompressed" and change your capture setting to 720 or 1080p instead of 4K, and- if this doesn't work- to reset console (first choosing to keep games and apps) then perform a full reset if none of these steps fix the issue.

I have also seen periods of no audio, but had some success following these recommendations in the past, only for the problems to recur (thus, the 'intermittent' part.)

Unfortunately, even after performing the full reset last night, I continue to experience the premature audio issue in multiple games. The fact that even a full factory reset did not resolve the issue indicates a deeper root cause than corrupt cached data... I hope Microsoft is actually looking into it instead of merely continuing to recommend the same troubleshooting steps to its end users. In games that can create in-app recordings, the sync is fine. I wonder if they just need to bring back a dedicated Studio app like they used to have.

this is still an issue, can confirm that the actual forza game clip captures on the xbox one are fine. it's only when they're rendered and uploaded - the resulting mp4 file has the audio delay. has occurred on about ten forza captures, every one has the
audio preceding the video by about two seconds.

Thanks for your post! Natively, the GameDVR function only captures video and audio from the game being recorded. In order to get voice audio for your gameplay, you may want to consider an external audio capture device or a capture card that supports capturing
audio of these together.
