Audio transferring to a wired controller

    Hi all,

As I see in google, the radio frequency (RF) module embedded inside all Xbox One consoles taps into this protocol and is used to connect to wireless controllers, so audio is transferred to controllers via Xbox Wireless Protocol.

My question, if a wireless controller is wired to console (via USB cable), is audio still transferred via Xbox Wireless Protocol or via USB cable?

    Thanks.

    :)

3,5mm Jack not working on Xbox One S Controller through Bluetooth

the controllers only support audio through wired connection, bluetooth audio is not supported on any xbox controller.

    Headset Adapter Support (Live Chat)

In fact the other option is to use the volume control on the wire then hold down the bottom left volume control until it beeps (thats the one with the player and the + sign) that will turn the balance from the pad so its 100% chat audio and no game audio,
then use the volume control on the TB wire to control game audio.

Not sure which will give better audio quality for in game audio or if theres any diff.

How does the controller of an xbox one connect to the xbox under different circumstances?

    HI hitashams

Once you plug in the controller with a cord it switches over to that as a means of transfer. With a wired controller the wire is it's only means of data transfer

    Xbox series X - AUDIO - USB vs 3.5mm headphones - Quality & Latency

Oke but that doesnt answer my question.
Will the audio quality and latency be the same when using a wired headset (console) usb or 3.5mm?

9/10 going direct into any hardware seems better for audio quality and latency. When going 3.5mm into the controller the xbox has to send sound into the controller and then transfer it to the headphones. That made me wonder if there is a difference between the 3.5mm connect or usb at the back? Maybe it is not notable at all.

    Headset

Is it a wired or wireless headset?

If wired, try making sure the audio port on the controller is clean as well.
