    Audio to TV stops working... Again.


    Once again, audio to my TV has stopped working. It works great to the head phones.

    Once again I have...

    ...reseated the HDMI cables.

    ...tried new cables.

    ...tried enabling the ATMOS driver.

    ...tried disabling the ATMOS driver.

    ...Checking the audio setting on the xbox and the tv.

    Once again, the only thing that has fixed this is resetting the xbox. Not a reboot, but a reset, so I need to go reconfigure the xbox and all the apps.

    It follows this pattern. It works great. I shut the xbox off and go to bed for the night. I get up and audio does not work.

    This happens once every couple months. I’m tired of this stupid brute force fix that takes a couple hours to reauthoerize everything and I’m hoping there is a more reasonable solution out there.

    Anyone have any idea how to fix this in a less brute force fashion that won’t take hours to get back to a normal running state?

    This is an Xbox One X.

    We have tried different HDMI ports on the TV and different HDMI cables.

    This is still a reoccurring issue. Usually it’s about 2-3 months between instances, though last time this happened was just two weeks ago (prior to it happening today).

    If you have power mode set to Instant on try the Energy save mode.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. Just to clarify, the Xbox One you are using is it the Original Xbox One or the One S or One X? Also, o you happen to have the console plugged directly into a wall outlet or is it plugged into a surge protector or
    power strip? Have you tried setting up the console with a different TV when this happens or possibly a different HDMI port on the TV?

    If the audio inputs you're trying on your receiver/TV work with other devices, then it certainly seems the 360's audio has stopped working.
