Audio Through The Controller Keeps Stopping

I got an Xbox one for Christmas this year and apart from a few set up problems, it has been great but recently when using my headset the audio keeps breaking up as if the headset is getting disconnected from the controller. It is happening more frequently
and is getting harder to fix ( I used to just pull the leads out and plug it back in to fix it but now this has stopped working). Any suggestions on how to fix this or am I just going to have to replace my controller?

Stereo Headsets

There is no stereo headset for the 360 that only connects to the controller.

The 360 controller only provides chat audio, there is no game audio transmitted through the 360 controller.

 

D-Pad Control of Headset Audio

It appears that the controller is an officially licensed controller, but it isn't an official Xbox One controller. Bethesda has some details on the controller's features over on

their store here, which include audio control through the D-Pad.

For official Xbox One controllers, audio control is either through the Stereo Headset Adapter or through the volume mixer in settings

 

Same here, and my mic stopped working too...

I tryed it on a new controller and it isnt working...

 

My headset is working fine, I think it's just the controllers or me.
