  1. Audio static when switching from game to one guide(tv)

I experience audio static sound when switching from game to tv. It last anywhere from 5-30 seconds and eventually goes away. Has anyone else experienced this and/or is there a way to fix this?

Hearing static on external speakers over top of game audio.

I got my external speakers plugged into my TV and I keep hearing random periods of static over the top of the game volume. Only happens on the Xbox One, they run fine with my Xbox 360 and runs just fine plugged into my laptop also. I've read that the Xbox
One controller can effect external audio speakers so i updated the controller and the static still happens. Only way i can make the static stop is by turning the TV off and back on but i wanted to know how to stop the static from happening in the first place.?
It gets so bad that i cant even use my Xbox One sometimes. Perfect comparison is like when a cable box makes static noise over the audio. Anybody please help.

  3. Confused: HDMI & audio..

One of the differences in switching from component A/V HD to HDMI is that the HDMI cord is all in one display & audio. Meaning the HDMI cord is all you need to get display, and audio from your 360, to your tv.

    HDCP issues

I am having an issue when in Instant On Mode Cox Cable DVR-->Xbox One-->TV. When I wake it up it the video goes to static/"snow" and audio drops for one second every six seconds exactly.

Audio on both Headset and TV Speakers

    Hello Viking!

I can tell you from personal experience using everything from the xbox issued headsets to my current Astro's, the tv will never mute when you plug in your headphones to the controller.

Here is guide for headphone setup:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/connect-compatible-headset

    and other options here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/stereo-headset-set-up-troubleshoot

    Notes

    • You might also have game audio coming from your TV. If you don’t want to hear the TV, simply turn down the volume on your TV. (When you plug a headset into the adapter on your controller, sound from the TV is not automatically muted or adjusted.)
    • When you plug a compatible headset into your Xbox One Wireless controller, chat audio through Kinect is automatically muted.
I also hear audio through my TV

The Stereo Headset Adapter doesn’t know if you’re using your headset just for chat or for all audio, so TV audio is not automatically muted when you’re using the adapter. You must manually adjust your
    TV audio volume.

    Hope this helps!

    Headset audio output

The tv has audio output and the headset is connects. the audio comes through the headset just fine when it is on a regular television channel, as soon as I switch to HDMI the audio stops though, despite the fact that nothing has changed between the headset-tv
connection. It's as if when I switch the television to HDMI, the output jacks just cease to function

    Sound cut out

Check your TV and HDMI connections

Scroll left from Home to open the guide.

    Select Settings.

    Select All Settings.

    Select Display & sound.

    Select Video output.

    Select TV connection.

If TV connection is set to "DVI", you'll need an optical audio cable for sound. If you're using an HDMI cable, switch your TV connection to "Auto-detect".

Note If your screen goes dark after you select HDMI or DVI and the screen doesn't reset after 30 seconds, see Troubleshooting a blank TV or monitor while your Xbox One is on.

Back out of Video output by pressing B .

    Select Audio output.

Verify that HDMI audio is not set to “Off” (or dimmed).
